As I've said Screen mirroring/casting on all Samsungs Tabs are disabled by default, well those that are running L 5.0.0. any way. I did some testing yesterday, I cast my Tab Pro 12.2 to my TV and let it stream for 30mins or so. I stopped the cast and loaded Sky Go on my Tab and started to watch cricket. I never had any problems at all.

Having said that I did the same on my Lenovo YT2 Pro 13.3 but this time after removing the cast I was unable to stream Sky Go on my Tab due to it not allowing Miracast, which is odd as MiraCast is not on my Tab.

I got it to work in the end by  disconnecting my TV's Wi-Fi and Sky Go played on my Tab. Next I connected my TV's Wi-Fi  back up and used YouTube on it, This time when I started Sky Go it worked np at all. I can only think that either the TV or my Tab retain this information while connected to my Wi-Fi

Hi,

 

I received and 'error 9' whilst trying to download an episode of GOT this morning. After consulting the sky forums I was a advised to uninstall the app and reinstall which I have done My device is nowunregistered however and I am unabl to re register as I had already registered this device , this month already.

 

Is there anyon at Sky who can help me with this? I do not want to register a new device, just re register my existing  after deleting th app.

For any issues with device registrations you would need to contact Sky by phone or live chat. The few Sky staff on the forum don't have access to customer accounts so won't be able to assist directly.

 

That said, simply uninstalling and re-installing the app should not cause it to de-register. Did you also clear the app data as well? If so, that would have removed the registration.

 

Either way, you'll need to contact Sky and explain the situation to them. It is possible they may reset the change count for this month so you can re-add it but if not, it will reset on 1st June anyway.

Thanks for the quick response, I didn't clear the cache for the app just uninstalled.

I'm trying to play a kids programme on Sky go and it's saying I need to have a valid sky subscription which I have. I can't see any way to fix it. Help!!

Is the program in the box sets section?
If yes do you subscribe to the family bundle?
If its not you may need to call Sky as it may be an error with your account.

No it's not in a box set its a Cartoon Network catch up. I have the family pack so will give Sky a ring. Thanks for your reply

H I was getting same issue and have now solved it             DRM gets error which results in 6036 graphics error

go device manager>display adapters>select your graphics device in my case "Intel iris" right click

update driver software>browse my computer> let me pick from a list of devive drivers on my computer

pick the most recent dated one

This is where sky go was going wrong as (windows auto select drivers) and was choosing the incorrect driver by version number not recent date (the top one in image) I changed to the highlighted one now sky go works as normal

This is really anoying for a company that is pushing the edge why are they still using silverlight it is an outdated and now unsupported platform https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2015/07/02/moving-to-html5-premium-media/  its not supported by chrome and now windows 10 has edge and has no active x silverlight dosent work. Why cant we think about using html5 if this dosent happen soon skygo will not work in a lot of enviroments. and now chrome will shortly be dropping support for flash due to all its security flaws. There need to be a rethink of skygo or more people will be moving to other online providers that post in html5. I hope that it move soon as its getting harder to watch sky go.

   Have to agree, haven't been able to use SkyGo since it started as my gf & I both have Google Chromebooks.

  As to another point you made ( bearing in mind I'm not too teccy minded ) what will it mean when Chrome drop support for Flash exactly?

Flash has always been a battery hog and as you use a chromebook sites that have lots of flash videos will not play. netflix and amazon have already converted to html5 so no issue there. where you get little videos showing you previews you at first will have to unblock it but eventually support will be dropped like apple did a few years ago due to security issues. Also you might like to know very shortly certin chromebooks will support android apps android for chromebook and I hope sky will support this I have 3 chromebooks and love them.

Just downloaded the app and invited to add a child's profile. got through 2 children but no more. This is all on the same device, thought it was just being child friendly. They can all watch the same content so why do I have to name them? Does this now mean I can't add it to another device? How do I delete a name and restructure?

After 5 or 6 weeks, I've still got the same problem with the Sky Go app crashing and returning to my iPad home screen.

 

I've just installed the latest release of the app and it makes no difference. It still crashes immediately.

 

Can anyone help with this as looking at the forum, I'm not the only one having this problem.

 

Anyone out there from Sky?

The Sky Kids app works the same as the Sky Go so you can register it will two devices only. If you have Sky Go Extra or are a Sky Q customer you can register it with four. Sky Go Extra costs £5 a month or is free if you have a multiscreen sub.

App won't have silverlight as android dosent support silverlight and current skygo app should work on chromebook.

Hi, I've recently rejoined sky after being with virgin for a few years but I can't change my ID as its my old one in an old address. i still have the same email address so every time I try to re-sign up it won't let me. I'm trying to get the kids sky app for the iPad but need to sort this out first. Can anyone help me? Thanks

I have logged with customer services the following with no response, only recently having Sky Tv/Phone/Broadband for my disabled mother:

 

1.  The services inc phone line were not installed for 2 days after the installation date due to "technical issues", spent most of the 2 days on the phone to sky chasing this up

2.   Its been a month since installlation and still havent received a viewing card, chased this 3 times now keep getting promised will be with you in 48 hours

3.  The initial sales call lasted over 1 hour which was down to the sales guy holding me on whilst his slow pc kept crashing.  This has now cost me £74 in mobile bills

 

Can anyone help, dont know what to do.
