    I've been having the exact same problem for about 2 weeks now. I have called them, emailed them and got nowhere. I was told that if i purchased pack 1 (I'm subscribed to pack 2), it would work and I would be reimbursed when it sorts itself out. I have now been charged £20 for a service I have not received.

  • Does anybody know if there is a way to use sky go in kids mode the same as you would use kids mode on the Q Box. Im aware of the sky Kids app but its messy, not very intuitive for kids and doesnt have everything kids mode does, For example purchased films from sky store. Kids safe mode on sky go would litterally be perfect. Or at least upgrade the sky kids app to do the same thing and have a seperate app for the games.

    Sky hasn't used "pay premium " numbers for years as the 03 ones they used are charged at local rates so if you have free minutes with either your mobile or landline phone then the call will use these free minutes so will not cost you a penny. If you have Sky Talk or Sky Mobile then calls to Sky are free via the 150 number.

     

    Contacting Sky appears to be the only way you are going to get this sorted.

    I had my VPN on to hide my IP. Turned it off and works perfectly 🙂 Im based UK but skygo thought I was abroad.

    I'm experiencing the same issue and so is everyone else I know who uses sky on Xbox, there is no information anywhere online.  Does anyone have any solutions?

    Thanks. I don't have a VPN.  Sky didn't know what had gone wrong but they had to fix it in the end.

    I'm also having this issue. It started 3 days ago. Like everyone else, the on demand content works fine.

     

    as far as i'm aware there haven't been any updates to the app so not sure why this has happened?

  • Yes there is at least a pin restriction to stop things being watched that shouldnt be, But full blown kids mode the same as Q Box  is what is needed, anything else is a half measure. Not an issue with an older kid as they know what they can and cant access and wont bother. But younger kids wont, there is oy so much you can take when being asked to put in the password for IT 2 or "Daddy i dont want football on my tablet" you just want them to be able tonsee the content they can access. Its even more annoying thathot being able to lock Netflix in kids mode.

    I can't connect to my Sky Q box  in the Sky Go app either from Android phone or Windows PC. Don't even get a message to indicate either way. 

    The app tells you to contact customer services if it doesn't connect but they're useless as as I've spoken to their app team who said they'd raise the issue with the development team but so far no improvement whatsoever even with the latest version 13.1.0.

    Part of Sky's selling point for Q experience was to pause TV on your box and continue on any device with the app, and take your recordings with you but just not possible when it won't ever connect. Sky Q customers pay a premium for this "experience" yet it seems many are not getting the full benefits to which they are entitled.

    I had no problems whatsoever with the Sky Q app, connected every time and worked flawlessly, yet Sky have forced us to use an inferior app that's not fit for purpose. 

    The app needs fixing immediately or the old Q app needs to be reinstated.

    I used software to remove root and it made no difference. There are other apps that arent suuported on My device, yet they work fine on everything else. Apps like All 4, another tv app, and a programme called Lumiya, which is an android viewer for SecondLife.

    I agree with this post. I have set up my favourites on Sky Q and there should be a quick way to get to the favourites on the tv guide in stead of having several clicks on the remote control.  As a minimum, favourites should be the default channel list rather than all channels. 

     

    On the Sky Go app there should be the facility to have a favourite channels list for the same reasons that it is there on the Sky Q box.  Let's have some consistency!

    Yes I am subscribed to Sky Box Sets. I can watch them fine via my Sky box.  

    So basically I cannot watch them via an app is that correct?

      Iwas just wondering, i have the sky apps ( netflix, you tube etc ) included in my sky package,  but they are not there on my sky go app,  is this because sky go doesn't include these apps or am i not doing something right ??

    The only way to view Sky Go on any device (iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac or PC) is via the Sky Go app on each platform - there is no way to watch in a browser.

     

    Hdmi/airplay and Chromecast is blocked on Android and iPad/iPhone, but you can use HDMI on a PC or Mac.

    Same here and even worse because the Sky Q  wireless network to support the mini boxes interferes with the home Wi-fi rendering the home Wi-fi useless at intermittent points!

     

    Sky Q is not a quality product by any manner of means either of itself as a viewing tool or its add on abilities.

     

    i think it is time that Sky invested its huge income back into providing subscribers with useable features.

    I am by no means suggesting that anyone leaves Sky BUT, ahem, I've been trying Amazon Video as part of Prime. UHD on the computer already and it's only their basic package. TBF I've not tried it on an iPad or phone so can't comment on cross-platform functionality. Even the rentals are cheaper.

     

    At the moment there are some channels that I'd miss if I dropped Sky but they're not deal breakers especially for saving over £70 pcm. For now, I'll stay with Sky but they're on warning.

  • You need to install seperate apps for their content as the Sky Go app is only for the Sky content, not Youtube and Netflix etc.

    No I have the same version number as you on my Windows laptop. I'm signed up as a beta tester for the Android app which is now version 13.1.0 (previously 12.4)

  • No, you'd still need a seperate app. Just install the app and log in with your Sky details.

     

    Youtube would require a normal Google account.

  • Download all 8 episodes to your Sky box before Sky re-encrypt them back to requiring a box sets subscription. If you want to view them on the apps then you'd need a box sets subscription.

    Having the same issues, have restarted the devices, uninstalled/reinstalled. Checked all of my account settings etc. Everything is as it should be but I cannot view any channels on the ON NOW section of tv for sky on the Xbox one S. Checked on the laptop and iPhone and both work perfectly, seems to be an issue with the Xbox and sky

    Hello, just wondering when the recordings section will be available on laptops?   All working on android phone and tablet but not laptop, which is very annoying!!!

    Just looked at version number 2.5.33-1.5.17

     

    It checks for updates but says no update available. 

     

    I can signin and watch live TV but there doesn't seem to have the recordings button.  

    Anything else you think I can try?

    Is it not listed in the menu list on the left somewhere? I don't have Q but I believe that is where it should be.

    OK thank you. I do have the full package after speaking to sky regarding this today.

    Also bear in mind you can only connect 2 devices to the Q box at any one time so make sure you have a slot free.

    Have check devices and I have 2 working. But still nothing on laptop.  I have been told by sky I can have upto 4 devices working, as I have sky go extra via vip subscription.     Just don't know what else to try.

    You can have 4 Sky Go devices streaming concurrently with multiscreen but not if connected to a Q box. 

    It's like with the mini boxes in that you can have 4 mini boxes but only use 2 maximum at any one time. This applies to the apps as well so if you have any combination of mini boxes or Sky Go devices connected, the rest will just revert to normal Sky Go devices instead of Sky Q devices.

    So try turning any mini boxes off and disconnect any other devices you might have that are connected to the Q box and see if the Recordings appear in the PC app.

  • To any one that can help

    For the past few months when we watch tv programmes through the sky app on the ps4 we get a yellow sun in the middle of the screen that I assume is buffering

    We have no problems viewing apart from this ring, the programmes run smoothly no pauses etc

    This only happens when watching 'on now programmes nothing when watching catch up or films

    Hi all, I am not able to get sound on IPhone 6 on sky go using 4g

    Have you tried deleting the app, rebooting the phone and then installing it again ?
