hmmmm thats weird then, i have to login everytime. any suggestions as to a fix?

 


Fully delete the app then reistall as something is not quite right with either the installation or something you are running on your PC (like security software)

Hi,

I have the Sky+ app downloaded on my iphone SE. It was working fine until a couple of days ago. Now, I can record programmes and watch on skygo but the remote doesn't work to change channels or access planner.

Any ideas??

If i go to box sets for Sky Atlantic they have GOT S01, S02, S04, S05, S06, S07 & S08 so I guess S03 is not available maybe you could email verwer relations to ask why

You can view them via search but good luck with the messed up search results being completely random.

Sky Go Error on Tablet

Trying to set up SkyGo on tablet and keep getting error code. Wont let me add it in numbers so having to spell it: two,zero,one,six,zero,zero,two,zero. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and no change. Please help! Thank you.

Sounds like you may have changed the parental controls and turned off the 'share what's on this box' option?

If you do uninstall the app I would also delete anything Cisco related and that includes the hidden files mentioned in this article

Have you tried a box reboot and also a broadband router reboot since this started happening ?

Is this happening when you load up Sky Go or when watching live tv or on demand content ?

i load the app. it checks for updates then i click on something to watch and just get that error code eveytime. have never been able to view anything on the app.

As it hasn't worked after a reboot and full uninstall and install again is the next step:

 

Close Cisco VideoGuard Monitor

  1. On your keyboard, press 'Ctrl', 'Alt' and 'Delete' at the same time to bring up Task Manager.
  2. Select 'CiscoVideoGuardMonitor.exe *32' and then End Process.
  3. Select End Process again.

Uninstall the Sky Go desktop app and the Cisco VideoGuard player

Make sure the Sky Go desktop app is closed before trying to uninstall it.

Windows 8.1 or later

  1. Right click the Windows button, then select Control Panel.
  2. Click Programmes and Features or Uninstall a program, then uninstall ‘Cisco VideoGuard Player’ and ‘Sky Go’.

Delete remaining Sky Go and VideoGuard folders

Windows 8.1 or later

First, you’ll need to make sure you can view hidden files. To do this, open your ‘file explorer’, select the View tab then make sure there’s a tick next to Hidden Items, under the Show / hide option. Now, delete the remaining folders. To do this, still in ‘file explorer’:

  • Select (CSmiley Happy Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > Local > Cisco > then delete the 'VideoGuardPlayer' folder.
  • Select (CSmiley Happy Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > LocalLow > Cisco > then delete the 'VideoGuardPlayer' folder.
  • Select (CSmiley Happy Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > Roaming > then delete the 'Sky' and 'Sky Go' folders.
  • Open the Downloads folder, then delete all ‘SkyGoInstaller’ files.

Once you’ve finished, empty all Sky Go and Cisco folders from your Recycle Bin.

Reinstall the Sky Go desktop app

Reboot your PC and then go to Sky.com and follow the on screen steps to reinstall the Sky Go desktop app..

I've  got a severe echo using the new sky go app making things unwatchable on my laptop (windows 10) also. Read loads of bloggs but no one seems to have a cure. :-(

I have followed the suggested steps and still no joy.

Still very frustrated at the lack of engagement and no communications from Sky. 

I can only assume they are hiding and don't respect their customers when they have problems to solve!

 

 


Sky Go Stuttering on laptop

Please can someone help me.

 

I am away alot in a caravan and would like to watch live sport but the stuttering I get on my laptop makes it very frustrating.

 

Why with all the so called expertise Sky has on its books can this problem not be sorted.

 

Any answers ????

Thank you . Just checked and as it's a new laptop the answer is yes.

If only sky could give us want we want. Seriously thinking of quitting.

I've had this problem since January-I bought a new laptop because I was told that was the problem-it wasn't. I'm told today that my new laptop is suitable. Despite speaking to a number of experts I get a variety of responses the latest being -it will be fixed at the end of August!

I'm sure the experts are fed up with the calls they're getting. I don't understand why Sky told own up that they have aa dudd product.
