So "everything" includes deleting the app, rebooting your device and installing it again ?

Hi All

 I have had this "Loading..We're just getting your information" issue on the My Skp App (Android on Samsung S8), and no sign of it loading OK for > 1 week now.

 

I see that App was updated on 19th Aug on Play Store - is this related?

Sky Go App problem on iPhone 11

Hi,

I recently upgraded my phone to iPhone 11 operating system version 14.7.1. When I try to watch Sky TV or download content through my Sky Go app I get the following error message: Sorry, something went wrong. Because of a technical issue, you cannot watch this content. Please try again later.

 

I tried rebooting phone and deleting App and re installing it but it is still the same. I have rang Sky help twice but both times they haven't been able to solve it. The latest time they removed all devices connected to Sky Go and told me to uninstall and reinstall the app and it would work but I still get the same message. I can set programs to record on my Sky Q box from my phone when I am at home but nothing else. My phone does not appear in my list of devices even though I have set programs to record through it. It works fine on my laptop and Play Station.

Any ideas as to what I can try would be much welcomed.

Your phone will not appear on the list of your devives until it has been registered and this will only happen when you start to watch content like TV, which means somehow getting past this error.

Program running during advert on sky go

Hi,

 

I have noticed the when I am streaming a program on sky go it continues to play even when the adverts come on meaning I either miss what was playing or have to rewind every time an advert pops up.

Any advise on how to fix would be great

Yep, app reinstalled 3 times, even factory reset phone b4 last install

But my issue is with the Sky Sports App. Virgin media provide my log in for sky.

  So what you really mean is that you use a virginmedai email address to log in?  You don't actually acess the app via a virgin media box etc?

That might be the case but as you are a Virgin customer then you need to report this to them.

I too was getting the error 17C.1. The program would play for a minute or two, then freeze and eventually the error pop-up would appear. Using iPad Pro 11 (2nd generation), iOS 15. I've removed all my devices, one by one rebooting each time, deleting and re-installing the app. I've tried different channels, 405, 103 and 104 but with no success.  I also turned of my VPN. The error message has now changed to, 'Sorry, something went wrong. This show is currently unavailable. Please check your network connection and try again'. I am connecting at home, only and there is nothing wrong with my network connection, 55 Mbps. 

I also tried the Sky Sports app. Played a video clip, 8 minutes duration ok. But live stream doesn't work, error 'Video unavailable.  A problem was encountered - please try again later'.  

Thought the problem might be related to iOS 15 but note others using iOS 14.

I've solved the problem.


I experienced the problem when I was staying at my brother's for the weekend. I tried to watch sky sports but brother doesn't have it. Sky go didn't like the fact I was on same network as a different sky box. I solved by disconnected the sky box from his WiFi when I wanted to watch the football.

 

The error also occurs when you have your sky go linked to another account on the device. For example, person A used the device for one sky go. Person B logged into the sky go on the same device on their sky go account. Device is therefore registered on two sky go accounts. To solve person A needs to remove the device from their sky go account for person B to be able to use sky go.

On my account page it says that I should download MY Sky app to find out mt rewards but when I go to google apps I get several options  My sky | TV Broadband mobile  and another 4 all marked as MySky so which one should I download Alternatively can I not download to my laptop Microsoft windows 10 so I can also watch the occassional Sky programme

It's the My Sky TV.Broadband App

 

To watch Sky in your laptop you need the Sky Go app for windows https://www.sky.com/watch/sky-go/windows

The same is happening with me.

I can download normal sky programs but cannot download any recent films.

I downloaded WW84 last week without any problem but tried to download again as a test after other failures and get error code 1526 this week.

What has happened to system to suddenly lock us out.

I have the same problem, I can't see my VIP offers anymore on the app (the VIP tab is there but says I can't join) I've been a Sky customer for over 6 years and am still getting the VIP emails.
