Hi @IRP   You use the Sky Go App, you used to have to establish a link while at home on the same network before taking it on the road. You don't need a Multiscreen subscription to schedule a recording. The Multiscreen subscription comes into play for watching/downloading recordings from the Sky Q box.

As posted by @MightyQuinn you do not need the multiroom subscription to be able to remote record with the Sky Go app while you are out and about.

Sky Go was working on my Mac Book Pro until the update today - 10th June 2025. It stopped working on my M2 Mac Studio Months ago. The crashing at Start Up. Just up until you get to select what Cookies you want and then BAM!!!! Its crashed.

I am sick to death of this. I have been into the Library/Application Support/Sky Go/ 

 

And then trashed the contents of the folder. Then I have also trashed the whole Sky Go Folder.

I have deleted all the Sky Go content via CleanMyMac and then downloaded the Installer hoping a clean install will do the trick.

So, its 23:06 and I am going to erase with CleanMyMac again all Sky Go content and re-install... 

Awful! Truly AWFUL!!!! 23:26 now and I have tried to start up on both my Mac Studio and my MacBook Pro. They both CRASH!!

Deleted the SkyGo folder from Application Support does NOTHING. How can Sky Release an app that is so flawed and flaky it doesnt WORK!

I am complaining tomorrow!

Disney + keeps dropping out saying no internet connection, but when I check my broadband all is working very well?

Hi, 

 

many thanks for the reply, but there is nothing on the app to click that says 'record' anywhere on the guide or when you are in a program. Very odd.

@IRP 

At the top of the TV Guide make sure the record to Sky box option is selected and then you should see the record option when selecting a program.

Thank you for your help.

 

Having tried this when I install and run the app I get an error telling me this app is not compatiable with windows 6, please upgrade to version 10 or later. However I am running on Win 11 .

Have you tried to see if you can use compatibility mode with the app so right click on the install file and select compatibility and select something like Windows 10 then see if it will install.

Oo good point you don't see BBC if you are on the "watch on phone" tab. And can't record the current show either.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.

Thanks for your advice, I did contact Viewer Relations and they confirmed that it was a licensing rights issue and The Mentalist can currently only be downloaded to a Sky Box.
