I got the same error as described but this worked for me…took some finding though!
- Deleted Sky Go ‘SkyGoInstaller’ from the Downloads folder
- Deleted Sky Go app from the Applications folder
- On the desktop click Go > (hold down the option key) > Library
- browse to Application Support > Sky Go > Delete all files in this folder (keep the Sky Go folder itself)
- Empty the Bin
- Reboot the Mac
- Download and reinstall Sky Go
You know it has worked if you get a prompt asking about Cookie settings when launching the app after the reinstall. I see others have deleted the Sky Go folder…you need to keep the folder but delete the contents for this to work.
