Unfortunately that made no difference at all, but I do have some more details of the exact error etc
Had it showing Sky Sports 3 all day from approx 09:05. Just about bang on 17:05 (8 hours), the picture disappears and the following message comes up on screen:
"Sky Service Temporarily Unavailable
Sorry, Sky Service isn't available right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status"
The onlybutton available is "OK"
This is clearly a spurious message. and nothing to do with the Sky service being actually unavailable because when OK is selected it goes back to the on now page with the mini TV box in the middle. For a couple of seconds the mini TV displays the same error, then goes to show Sky News.
I then try to select a premium channel such as Sky Sports 3 again, and it comes up with the error:
"Sky Service temporarily unavailable
Missing mandatory data:x-sky OTT - UserToken"
The only button available is "Back"
When I select back it takes me to the home page. If I go through the tv guide and select a premium channel to watch (have tried both Sports and movie channels) it prompts for log in. That is where, no matter how many times I input the correct credentials it won't sign in. However, a reboot of the xbox it prompts for log in, I sign in fine and everything starts again.
To me it seems very much like a time limit has been placed on the authorisation token, which wouldn't be so bad if it accepted the correct credentials without having to reboot the xbox to log back in.
