As my post states, and for the reason you allude to, I turned it off for less than 5 minutes. It will turn back on automatically after a period of time anyway so literally tried it for a couple of minutes to test the theory. The strange thing is however that even turning it back as the app was still playing sport the jerking didn't return. I've since shut it down and just gone back to it and restarted the app, still no jerkiness! It's very odd but could this be the issue I wonder or is it a total coincidence? Time alone will tell but I think a couple of minutes without realtime scanning isn't a great risk and may point Sky in the direction of where the problem lies. Way too early and I will need to restart the PC etc before drawing any real conclusions. Watch this space I guess. If it's any consolation at all I've been looking at a Virgin Media forum and they are having exactly the same issues on VM with the Sky Go app and haven't reached any kind of a fix trying all of the proposals we are all trying on Sky.
