I have just recently upgraded to SkyQ and using the new Sky Go application. Well using a very 'loose' word
I think this week I have the 002 error every morning and now think its annoying and would like some SKY tech to tell me that they are going to fix this issue once and for all and for me not to have to do this daily (guess increase the time out for the application to connect to the cisco video guard license server (Just saying) Or is the license server getting hammered with requests and cant cope with the demand? What load balancing have you got behind the scenes?
(wanted to add when i have called sky and listen to the automated service it tells me to go to http://sky.com/fixskygo which takes me to "Page Not Found! Error 404")
Uninstall SkyGo and Cisco video guard (also recommend removing any old SIlverlight software)
go to your %APPSDATA% folder and hunt for anything with Skygo/cisco video Guard and sliverlight and delete
do the normal clean cookies cache empty trash
Slay a sheep to skeletor
Do the running man for 30 minutes
and then go to http://skygo.com and download the installation media
After installing the software again i rebooted and tried again
low and behold the same error, so tried again but teathered from my phone and same issue
so as they say third time lucky tried one more time.
(Need to add i have hdd encrytion software and use VPN's from time to time)
Anyhow, on the 4th attempt to remove - install sky go told me to manage my devices as there was a problem (the message popped up pretty quick and missed the exact wording and its hasnt thappened again)
So ended up having to call support.
The lady on the phone knew the error and told me that steps to deal with the issue which is the same as whats posted here
So after rebooting the laptop for the 9th time the app started to work, the home screen loaded up.
I can not figure out from my side why this happens and its very annoying and kinda not the service i expect for the cost.
Sky - what the hell is going down with this application? MPLS not working or SIP? have you got a random ; in your perl scripts or are there python problems.
Whatever it is can we all have this problem esclated to senior managers because as a customer this is totally annoying the *&^% out of me.
I will be happy to share my desktop out or give you access via a webex if you would like to test my machine to help find a possible problem.
Any other users have any comments that would help me and everyone else that be great, its keep the handbags on the dance floor and lets smash this issue out of the park for Sky as it seems they are struggling to deal with this/ maybe.
