You could try this
- Make sure the date and time on your device is correct
Win 10
- Right click on the time at the bottom right of the screen.
- Click Adjust date / time.
- If needed, change the date, time and time zone.
- Under Formats click Change date and time formats.
- Make sure the Short Date and Long Date are both set to dd/MM/YYYY.
Mac
- Click on the time at the top of right of the screen.
- If needed, change the date, time and time zone.
- Click Language and Region preferences.
- Make sure Region is set to United Kingdom.
- Close 'CiscoVideoGuardMonitor
- Uninstall Sky Go and Cisco VideoGuard player
To uninstall Sky Go
- Launch Finder, click Downloads then delete ‘SkyGoInstaller’.
- Launch Finder again, click Go then Computer.
- Go to Users > [yourusername] > Applications then delete the Sky Go app.
To uninstall Cisco VideoGuard player
- Launch Finder, click Go then Library.
If you don’t see Library, hold down the ‘Alt’ key.
- Open the Cisco folder, then delete ‘VideoGuardPlayer’.
- Delete remaining Sky Go and VideoGuard folders
Windows
First, you’ll need to make sure you can view hidden files. To do this, open your ‘file explorer’, click the View tab then make sure there’s a tick next to Hidden Items, under the Show / hide option.
Now, delete the remaining folder. To do this, still in ‘file explorer’:
- click (C: ) Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > Local > Cisco > then delete the 'VideoGuardPlayer' folder.
- click (C: ) Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > LocalLow > Cisco> then delete the 'VideoGuardPlayer' folder.
- click (C: ) Drive then go to User > [yourusername] > AppData > Roaming > then delete the 'Sky' and 'Sky Go' folders.
- open the Downloads folder, then delete all ‘SkyGoInstaller’ files.
Once you’re done, empty all Sky Go and Cisco folders from your Recycle Bin.
MAC
First, you’ll need to make sure you can view hidden files. To do this, Launch Finder, click Go then Library. If you don’t see Library, hold down the ‘Alt’ key.
Now, delete the remaining folder. To do this:
- Open the Application Support folder, then delete ‘Sky’ and ‘Sky Go’ folders.
- Go back to Library, then open the Saved Application State folder and delete ‘com.bskyb.skygoplayer.savedState’.
- Reinstall Sky Go
Go to Sky.com/watch/sky-go/windows and follow the steps to reinstall Sky Go.
