'There is zero justification for an app its purely a case of "I want" and nothing more,'

So you're saying Sky should not be in the business of providing what its customers want?

'It would require a lot more than an extra 1000 users to join to justify spending the resources required to build a dedicated app.'

We have already established that Microsoft have the lions share (70%) of the customer base - a little more than 1000 customers. I know all about the, 'You can use a browser,' yadda yadda yadda but that won't be the case for much longer and the browser doesn't support Sky Q/fluid viewing. It beggars belief that Sky will provide a service for Apple users that only constitute a portion of the remaining 30% and completely ignore Windows users.

If the universal HTML5 version supports Sky Q/fluid viewing and all of the other functionality of the apps then great. If not, Sky are forsaking an awfully large potion of their customers just because someone high up in Sky is an Apple fanboy.
