Hey, I understand what you're going through. The solution I shared was what worked for me on PC, android phone, iPhone and IOS tablet, by following the steps above - key was to unlink everything post resetting my password via the security question.
I'd suggest to go through the steps once more. I've also been told that this has been escalated and a fix would be looked into, to avoid scenarios like yours and mine (I had similar issues).
