Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been resolved before, I've been browsing quite a few threads and haven't found identical problems or solutions that worked with my dilemma. I've tried installing the app before, which was futile and I gave up after several days... now my Sky box is broken and I was hoping that maybe by now the problem would no longer exist, but it seems that it does.
I've reinstalled the programme several times today, deleting files and folders in-between, and re-downloaded the installer several times to make sure my setup file wasn't the problem. This is what I did in my last attempt: Before downloading the installer anew, I made sure the old Sky Go app was uninstalled, and so was the Cisco programmes. I deleted all related files and folders from my AppData folder, and then downloaded and installed Sky Go, without any errors occurring. I made sure to reboot before starting the app, but all I'm getting is the message: "We are having problems connecting the application. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again."
I have tried several times to connect the app again, and my internet connection is perfectly fine, so that cannot be the problem. To check if it's firewall/antivirus issues, I switched off my internet security temporarily, but the problem persists. I have noticed that with this installation no new "Cisco" related folders have been created, though. I don't know if that is normal with the latest version of the software...
This is about all I can tell you about the problem... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you so much!
