Re: Sky go black screen

Hi.

I'd searched online for more details about completely removing Silverlight so I could reinstall, and got this from a US site. I'd done a reinstall and tried a different browser already, but the difference with this list was point 4 and 5 - removing this file as part of the uninstall then reinstall seems to have done the trick for me.

  1. Press Cmd+Alt+Esc and quit all open browsers.
  2. Select the Finder icon from the dock at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Press Cmd+Shift+G (shortcut for "Go to Folder...").
  4. Paste "/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/PlayReady" and press return.
    • If the folder cannot be found, verify that you have administrative access.
    • If the folder still does not exist, skip to step 6.
  5. Drag the file mspr.hds to your Trash.
  6. In Finder again, press Cmd+Shift+G (shortcut for "Go to Folder...").
  7. Paste "/Library/Internet Plug-ins" and press return.
  8. Drag Silverlight.plugin to your Trash.

I still haven't heard anything back from Sky technical support, so hopefully this is of some help.
