I had exactly the same error and no ammount of forum searches seemed to help until I read an article that said you need to install windows media pack for windows 10 (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231).

Installed it and rebooted and hey presto all SkyGo streaming worked again!

Also make sure you have the latest Silverlight installed as older Active X applications are blocked by some browsers.
