New Sky Go app destroys my PC performance

Straight to the point, since i updated the new sky go app a few weeks ago, it now just savagely destroys my pc performance.

Before this update it was perfectly fine, i could watch it and do whatever else i wanted on my pc. Now it just freezes everything includingthe app itself. My pc is not to blame either. It can run 3 GPU and CPU intensive games simultaniously but it cant handle sky go + firefox anymore, or skygo and a very VERY small simple game.
Like i said before this latest update it was fine. I could run skygo and as many other things as i like. But now unless im watching skygo and doing nothing else it just freezes everything on my pc for around 40 seconds before its fine for another 5-10 minutes and then freezes up again.

Another issue is its totally sucking bandwidth. Im on superfast broadband from sky getting 76mbps and when every device in the house is streaming netflix, iplayer, nowtv, prime video etc the speed drops from around 60 on a normal speed test to around 48. When sky go is running and NOTHING else is on in the house the speed drops from 60 to 11.

This app seems to be doing nothing but eating up bandwidth and causing severe cpu problems.

As a test, i just ran netflix, prime & 5 youtube videos. all videos on all platforms were over 1 hour long and my speed went down to 55.4 from 61.2.

Closed everything else on my PC and only had sky go open and my speed went from 61.4 to 8.1.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a solution to this?  Im not going to accept this as a pc problem as it can handle bigger and far more intensive programs simultaniously.
