I have the same issue, had it for about a year. Only way to kick start it is to close the app, re open it then it connects but then resets the the beginning of the programme ! I asked Sky about this last year and at that point I had to go into the main Q box and reset all network settings.. That worked for about a week. I think (think) the problem is the band that the Sky Box works on is in conflict with some other wifi band on the iPad. What ever it is it was useless so I gave up eventuallym too frustrating and no answer to the problem, but it looks like a common issue that Sky should try to fix.
