There does seem to be som many configuration vagaries that t[produce these generic errors. Installing the media pack resolved mine on Win 10 but clearly there are other overlapping issues.

They will have to bin Silverlight as all browsers are withdrawing support for it, but I've had issues with PlayReady also.

Agree with your point about Sky not investing enough in this technology as it is the way things are going with more online content watching. They need to make it fool proof as most users won't be technical.

My biggest bugbear (and I'm always banging on to my development team about it) is produce error messages that explain what the problem is ratehr than use programmer speak or codes!
