Sky Go no longer remembers where I was in a programme

Sky Go no longer remembers where I am in a programme when I close the app. This has only been the case for a few months so I presume it was caused by an update. I have tried deleting the app and downloading again but it has made no difference. 

I'm using iPad Air with iOS 8.4.1

Is this standard behaviour for the app and is there any solution?
