Installing virtualbox seems to have solved all my issues (AMD Ryzen 64bit) - just in time for Tottenham's historic win at Anfield tonight 😁. For the less technical like me, the virtualbox installation is very quick, just download and click quickly through the default install, ignoring the poorly worded warnings and requirements. I did not need to open or use virtualbox for it to help Sky go work.
My previous fix, using Beta sky Go with location services turned off, stopped working (Sky Go started crashing immediately on startup - as it has often on various devices over the years). I have left location services off - not sure if this is needed for the virtualbox fix to work.
