Sky Go Extra doesn't allow any extra device changes a month anyway. It simply allows you to have 4 devices registered and download content for offline viewing.

I have tried the latest build.  Same issues for me.  If hudl2 switched off,  the app doesn't even open after starting up again.  If left on it's just your luck if it works when you try the app.

I wouldn't expect it to be fixed yet - it was only reported today. It'll probably take a day or two for them to address it. High profile issues on more popular content tend to be addressed first.

Clearing the app data has not failed me yet in reviving the app after an unsuccessful start.  Ensure you force close it beforehand or clear it from your recents for best results.

 If you are having issues with device registrations you will need to call Sky as they are the only ones who can do anything about it. Issues like this do seem to crop up from time to time.

There's a known bug with device registrations for Nexus 7 & 9 running Marshmallow. It's fixed in version 4.2.3 of Sky Go, but that's not rolled out to everyone yet.
