Still the same for me. Nothing else has, e.g. Adobe or other updates, has been installed or altered on our computer. We've been enjoying Sky Go for absolutely ages, and now this!

And you are definitely using an aero theme?
It should work properly with aero. It works with aero on my laptop with Windows 7.

My Sky Go app wouldn't work on my laptop (blank screen) but i have a work around fix.
I have two graphics cards - integrated and nvidia
I right clicked the icon and ran it with the integrated graphics - it worked and installed an update.
Seems fine now, hope this helps!

Try temporarily disabling any anti virus software or apps that are running on your laptop they are probably preventing the download from completing. Talk talk safeguard for example will stop the download.

I set Sky Go to run (on my laptop) with the NVidia graphics and it works fine. I cannot say if it runs any better then with the Intel graphics.

if you click on the option to download (and you already have the programme downloaded) then it will come up as option for you to delete download

I've had the same issue with the new update, and I've been sat all day uninstalling the sky app and cisco files and emptying recycling bin and reinstalling, disabling firewalls and all of that, got rid of silverlight, reinstalled silverlight (even though I heard this isn't used any more) so i've literally tried all of suggested fixes,
How did you get around yours, assuming you have?

Yeah that's what I've done mate, still no luck. I think it may be something to do with firewalls etc but i have temporarily disabled them and windows defender, but the point stands it shouldnt be nearly this difficult.

I've been using sky go for years - without an aero theme - i actively do NOT want to change my windows 7 set up to an aero theme.
Updated to latest version of sky go - because it does not load until I do - and then boom, it fails and blames aero.
Come on Sky sort this out !

Trying to play sky on my mobile. But when I press play on any programme, it comes back as external display output is blocked! Please help

I'm happy to use an Aero theme but it still doesnt seem to work...
Am i doing this correct. Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Personalization\Aero Themes and then select any of them?
