Spoke to Sky yesterday as I an unable to watch any downloaded programs on Sky Go. They say they are aware of the problem and are working on an update but just checked and mine is still not working!

You haven't said what device this is but if it is a PC or Mac then try unisntalling it then after a reboot try installing the app again from the Sky website.

I am also having the same issue, one minute working, next minute white/grey screen. I have like yourself uninstalled several times, checked firewall..... nothing is helping!!

We received a call, from the Sky technical team, last night and they told us that they are working on the problem and will get back to us, as quickly as possible.
Today we received an email, from customer support, in which they said that the problem is being looked at, but they do no know how long this will take so we will not hold our breaths too much.
If anyone has the same problem and hears anything, please let us know

how to check how many devices I have registered on the Skysports app
Hi there,
I'm a Virgin TV customers, was with Sky for 20 years but that's a different story now.
Anyway with Virgin TV I have Virgin TV Go and as part of my subscription I get Sky Sports to watch on the go.
The only way I can watch Sky Sports is through the Skysports app which I have downloaded to my phone and also on my sons phone as we can have two users at the same time.
Anyway when it comes to watching only one of us can watch Sky Sports at a time as a message saying user limit reached.
How can I find out which devices are logged into the Skysports app please?

Late to the party. But yes. Insane .
Let's compare .£8 per month for netflix. Works seamlessly on every device I own. Xbox. Phone. Tablet. Chromecast TV. Desktop. Laptop.
£60 quid per month for sky. £5 *extra* for sky go so I can use it on my Xbox. That comes with the pleasure of unskippable ads, which, honestly, **bleep** you sky. That's weak as hell.
And then on top of that, I can't even cast from my phone to my other TV .I need to carry my Xbox upstairs. It's just the god damned worst. I'm 100% cancelling after this season of GoT.

I don't know about Virgin but with Sky when you use the Sky Sports app I believe it registers the device via Sky Go, perhaps it does the same via the Virgin TV Go app and if so you should be able to check this via the Virgin TV Go website, if that isn't the case I would try asking this question over on the Virgin help forums.

Been looking again today and found the exact same threads dating back a year ago! Looks like Sky have been giving out the same reason to me as they did to others over 12 months ago. Think Sky have been allowing us all to think they're working on a solution when they obviously couldn't care less that they have a sub-standard 'free-so we can't complain' service!

Sky Go App on IPad
Struggling with the Sky Go App on my iPad the picture keeps going intermittently between perfect and completely pixelated whilst the sound remains fine. I don’t have this issue with anything else, BBC iPlayer, BT Sport etc and I have only recently upgraded to Sky broadband. I didn’t have this issue with Sky Go when using my previous broadband provider.
I have completed all the diagnostic checks, internet connection and speed is fine. I have turned the router off and rebooted it, I have turned the iPad off and rebooted it and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sky Go App all without success. My software is also up to date on the iPad.
Tried having an online chat with a Sky engineer and that proved to be more frustrating then watching a pixelated picture!

SKY GO APP how to find and download UHD content to 2tb Q
Forgive me, upgrade after many years of HD to 2tb Q with additional mini box.
How on on earth in the app can you find then download the UHD content to the box, of do you have to manage all UHD content via the Sky Q 2tb main box and remote. Or simply you can’t ?
Aware you can’t seem to schedule any forecasted UHD content (eg what is due say today to auto download)
Any tips appreciated

another example of a big company wasting peoples time iwhile taking their moneynstead of fixing something so that it works out of the box!!!!!!

i tried around 8 yrs ago installing removin and reinstalling (many times)eventually with some success to
to install sky go on a laptop
i have had several laptops since then and recently tried again to install sky go with the same fruitless
experience (you must accept the t&c's) the app works fine on my phone "same user acc"and no i dont remember how i managed to install it previously but the time and effort is just not for me worth it after 8 yrs youd think they could sort an issue that has been reported so many times!!
i guess sky must make to much to care about this issue
instead of just displaying the message why dont the display a link to the relevant page??
as you are obviously on the defensive you wouldnt happen to be an employee would you??

Back in 2006, Sky Go used Silverlight. It was completely rewritten a couple of years ago into the current Cisco Videoguard powered app - nothing was carried across from the old version at all, including the backend servers, so bugs wouldn't have been carried across either.
And no, none of us work for Sky. Any staff have the Sky logo next to their names.
You'll probably need to call Sky to get this problem sorted.
