Re: sky go buffering

I have exactly the same issues. 

Ever since they have bought out the update, there has been nothing but buffering.
I have checked my Anti-Virus and firewall, turned them off. Reset my router, performed virus scans and cleaned out my cookies and history from my webbrouser, my internet speed is 80mbps, so for the life of me, I guess it is a glitch in the App, of which Sky seem to not want to do anything.
Not to mention that now it automatically conects to my Sky Q box, of which there is no option to stop it from doing that!
Why can't people either leave things alone or prior to bringing new so called improved updates, at least have them tested in real life situations and not some static envirnment?
The old version worked just fine!

There are a few possible ways to add Sky Go Extra to your account, firstly there is this link:

 

https://www.sky.com/shop/tv/sky-go/

 

Secondly if you are a Sky VIP customer as you have activated the VIP program via the MySky app and your level is Gold or above then you can claim your free sky go extra reward via the app.

 

Thirdly yopu can call Sky and they will tell you what the best option is for you to get it on your account.

Exactly same problems here. Really liking the sky q connection part but wish it wouldn't keep buffing. I have an excellent connection and have done all the troubleshooting but nothing has worked to stabilise it

Error code 3-2 cant watch downloaded programs

Hi downloaded a number of programs to iPad to watch on the plane and get error 3-2 need to connect to WiFi!

My problem is that a previously registered device (iPad) is no longer in the list and the app is only partially working. There's no side bar and no,option to continue watching programmes already started. Yet it's possible to watch all other programmes and appears to still be signed in. Puzzling 🤔

I have sky go on my tablet, i use it at my work on night shift. In the last month every second day. I have to re enter my username and password. And it says it is has new settings

My IT department up-graded me to an iPhone 8. I had to reinstal all my Apps including Sky Go. The App seems to open ok but when I click on a programme I get one of two messages :

 

"Because of a technical issue, you cannot watch this channel. Please try again later" or

 

"There is a problem connecting with the Sky Go App. Please try again later" 

 

Any thoughts/ideas ?

Sadly there isn't much you can do other than connect to Wi-Fi when you can as per the message.

Try deleting the app, turning your phone off and then on again before installing the app again.

Pretty much all you can try is to delete the app and install it again after a reboot.

Thanks for replying,

I am glad you sky go app is working now :-)

I am runnning the very latest windows version - 1903 - and I am completely uptodate with updates.

My drivers are upto date too.

I have tried:

I restarted the app.

Restarted the PC.

Uninstalled the app, deleted all sky and sky go folders in appdata roaming, reinstalled the app.

Very little I can do now, esp with there not being a proper online tech support.

Hi  , I'm seeing the same error message having just upgraded to v2.5.22 - 1.5.9 of Sky Go on a Win10 device.

It comes with "to watch this channel, please upgrade your subscription."

Sky is looking into my issue now as they're confused because I have the full Sky package.

It can sometimes take a while for the new pin to start working, if it still isn't after 24 hours then I would either call Skybor change it back to the previous one.
