Thanks for feedback. My Skygo is now working normally without me making any changes. No doubt it was due to the Sky outage across much of the UK. What would have been helpful is if someone from Sky could have made this obvious to us all and so saved us all a lot of time.

Unable to watch skygo after Android 11 security patch install
Since both my tablet and phone updated to Android 11 security patch 1 I am unable to watch skygo. All menus load etc but when selecting a programme to watch I get error messages.. Any help please?

Sky id email
On using the My Sky app, it's now asking for my email address as my id. If I use my email address it says error as it's already in use (of course it is, it's my email!). So it wont let me go any further unless i put in an email address, so i had to use an old one i never use anymore. How can I change this back to my current email address, as everytime I try and do this it says error, try again. Please help

<Opinion Warning> The app is just poor on Windows. I have zero issues with the IOS app on phone/ipad but on any of the PCs in the house (which vary in vintage from NUC 4250U on wifi to a Ryzen3600 desktop in Gb ethernet (with 950Mbps internet connection)) I have nothing but issues. Launch takes forever, despite all PCs having SSDs. Iplayer, youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime all have zero issue on any platforms in the house, it's just the Sky Go windows app.

So in a more positive spirit, can anyone explain how the data flows from Sky Q box to app, does it just broker the connection and then stream direct from sky, or does it stream from the box? I'm thinking I may need to monitor the packets to check collisions etc, and knowing how the data flows would help.

Downloaded Go content will be somewhere on the device as an encrypted data bundle: where that is depends on the operating system. If you can locate the appropriate folder within the file system (which might require a third party file browser for a mobile OS) then comparing its size before and after a download would provide the information you are after.

Cannot get Sky Go to display from my Android phone to my TV.
It says external display is blocked when I try to watch anything. When I cancelled Sky and was persuaded to rejoin I was told this would work. I am not in a position to have a dish installed where I currently live.
Do I need to cancel again?

The error messages vary...sometimes device needs registering or many variations of error coded. Sometimes it say programme finished when it should have just started. Only happened after Android update and security patch update.

As the message says it is not possible to do this from a phone or tablet as it is blocked for rights reasons but you should be able to do it from a laptop should you have one.

If it saying that the device is registering then try removing from your list of devices before using it again as this will force it to register when you go to watch something.

I had the same issue, solved it by clearing data and cache in the app settings, had to log back in and evrything works fine.

Sky Go Error Code 1526
I keep getting error code 1526 when trying to download certain products. Is there a fix for this?

Account number
Hi, I'm trying to move into my first home and I've chosen to go with sky for my broadband and tv. While trying to create an account within the app it says I need to link my sky ID with my account that I didn't even know I had.
I've tried linking the 2 by entering my bank details but that didn't work. So the only option is to find my account number.
I can't find my account number anywhere and I've tried everything. I don't have any monthly payment at the moment so I can't look at those to see the number, I can't look on my account because when I do it asks me to link my accounts and it's just a big loop.
If anyone can help that would be great.

Have been unable to access the app for the past 3 days, same loading screen as further up. have tried everything suggested. really inconvenient as we were away for a few days and needed to roll over extra data to the kids phones. App is much easier to use on phone that the website, when it's working that is.
