Same problem here on windows 10. So I then tested on my son's windows 11 laptop and same issue. Something is wrong Sky! Recent attempts to launch just bring black box up and then after a while it crashes/shuts itself. I have Sky Go desktop app on my mac and no problems on there. Issue is bespoke to windows

now sorted,this is W11,i noticed my anti virus wanted to do a restart so did that i then downloaded s/go and it worked lol

i dont even think it will work then,there so useless at sky,,u dont get problems with the other apps like u do with sky go.i will have to stick by to leaving sky.

I wonder if they could be automated "suggestions", that I haven't disabled? I know TiVo offers that so maybe Sky Q does too. The weird thing is that I don't think the programmes are actually being recorded...

Think I know why I had the problem, although the programe was liuve on tv I as watching nit on recording so it was a bit behind and not via live tv. I used it yesterday and it was fine. Thanks

You don't activate Sky Go so are you new to Sky or a returning customer who has been away for 18 months or more ?

Now the person from sky said on the phone to me yesterday,hes going to send me a link in my e-mail within 7 days where i can click on it to watch sky ,and it will bypass my firewall,ive been on my firewall and the sky go app has not been blocked,so that link he sends wont make no diference,so i will stick to what i said ,im leaving sky,because i cant allow this to make me unwell,because its frustrating me,i phoned sky up 4 times all together over this issue.

I have the same problem and have spoken to sky lack of customer help a couple of time. Usually ending up in India or Bulgaria and they have no idea.

I know it's to do with removing screen capture cookies that come with other programme's but don't know how.

Same for me, this seems to be a common issue, after the May update it no longer works for some Mac users and the same error message. Tried a completely clean install and still no joy.

It appears you didn't respond to the previous chat so if escalated again do you have the time to respond ?

Windows 11 version

SkyGo freezes on Checking for Updates or Downloading update. In the past I've just closed the app down and restarted and the app has worked. No longer - it just sits there saying it's downloading Update.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

just purchased sky stream, can I use sky go before puck delivery?

Is it possible for me to watch live tv on sky go before setting up my sky stream puck when it is delivered in next few days. Currently sky go is not allowing me to watch anything with error code 0001.

@Hazleleu10 You should be able to if you're signed into the app but it may take a few hours for skys systems to update
