Unusable on Mac on Sky sports channels. Perfect on tablet.

Happily used Sky Go on my PC, watching it on my laptop screen whilst working on documents on a secondary screen. At on epoint, I took a screenshot of what I was working on - and the screenshot appeared to pick up both screens.

Shortly after, I got a message that Sky Go had detected video capture software running on my PC, and I needed to stop it to run Sky Go. I can't find any video capture running. I did try stopping Screenpresso, which I use for screen capture, but I still get the message. Help also lists potential problem programs, and suggests how to find them in the Task Manager. Unfortunately, it doesn't recognise the scale of the task of checking a dozen programs against literally hundreds of processes/services. The programs listed don't appear in the apps list in the Task Manager.

How can I find the program that is causing the problem?

Note:

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling.

Also - Sky Go works under a different Windows account, unfortunately I want to use it on the account where I am doing my work.

Any suggestions?

I am inable to watch a rugby game which is showing on skymax on my sky go.I have sky sports subscription the game is showing as there, however when I click.on it it says I am unable to view it.

The game is CC Rnd8: W.provincevs Sharks.

I can't see any game being shown on Sky Max which is channel 113 so I presume you mean you can't view the match on Sky Sports+, if so then you need to be a subscriber to the full Sky Sports package.

Is the Window snipping tool running in the background as this is known to cause this issue with Sky Go. Also anything capable of capturing pictures, video and sounds needs to be stopped.

No it just says I am unable to watch it, I am currently watching a different game which also says it's on Sky Max that was no issue but the game I actually wanted to watch I can't.

@Matt+and+Nicky The extra streams are not available on sky go only the linear channels

for the extra streams you need the specific sky sports app for mobile devices

I concur with @caesarome that there is no rugby currently on Sky max only the walking dead until 10pm

Thank you, I have downloaded the app but it appears I can only watch highlights and not whole games? Have I downloaded the wrong app or am I being stupid? Or is this all that would be available?

Me too! Am only person in our household that uses laptop to watch Sky! Just happened a few minutes ago! Ridiculous!

Are you in the UK as there is no rugby on the live Sky Max channel.

Not that I can see. I've stopped Screenpresso, and can't see anything else that is running - I've checked the system tray, and app switcher. But the problem is when I go into Task Manager, there are literally hundreds of services/processes, and it is impossible to check each one to see if it break's Sky's rules.

I can understand Sky being careful about illegal copying, but they need to be more helpful when their tools think they have found something. E.g. if they have detected something, they should say what they have detected. As I said, it appears to have been inadvertently triggered when I was taking a screenshot on another screen. Before that, it seemed to be happy.

Sorry sky sports mix not max

Hi mine just got sorted I'm not sure how but I noticed date and time wrong on computer and corrected it and got in then.....maybe check all OK on laptop details hope it helps 😀

Happened again now. 50mbps 4G but video just doesn't load. Whats the point of using this as USP of havibg Sky mobile, when it clearly doesnt work?
