Whey can I no longer sort recordings on the sky App into alphabetical order
When I select sort by A-Z message says no recordings available, however I do have recordings.
It looks like I am on the most up to date version of the app

There are more than one app made by Sky, which one are you talking about?
Hi thanks the Sky Go App, where you can download your recordings to a device, and record from the App.
For some reason the sort alphabetically functionality seems to have disappeared
The app is created by Cisco. They bought the license because it offers slightly overly intrusive abilities to detect what other apps you're running, in what I can only guess is a useless attempt to curb piracy. Because dodgy box providers are known to sell sub 720p, 25 fps pirate streaming services. Right? The only thing they achieve is to deliver a terrible service to us who are paying for it. Remember, Sky subscribtions are probaby the most expensive media subscritptions in the world, and the company delivers the abolute worst pre-2010 quality services.
Swtiching from Cisco's horrible application isn't a compilacted task. When Netflix failed with their first global live stream of a mojor event about half a year ago, they immediatly sat down and figured out a working solution. A few months later they offered flawless streaming of the most views regular season NFL matches ever. It is only hard if you don't want to fix it.
Ok I do have ah vpn running but don't use it so il delete that to see what happens thanks
Series 9, episodes 14 - 17.
I have just tried episode 14 and it works fine for me so have you tried it now ?
Hi,
When trying to install sky go on my Macbook air m3 the download seems to fail and just disappear just before the end. Does anyone know how to fix this, constantly going around in loops and loops withwith the download just failing.
Thanks for that. I already have other ITV regions on my Sky Q box, however there is no 'manual tuning' feature on Sky Go settings, so they cannot be watched there.
I cannot belive this problem is still around - I have a Macbook Air M3 and SKy Go again keeps Quitting Unexpectedly - I have tried all the usual sggestions - uninstalls, deregistered Sky Go devices , removed caches , removed Sky Go files - I have raised a complaint but not hopeful.
All it really needs is a developer to look at the Crash Log file and I have offered this to Sky several times. Outrageous service - the reason I purchased he macbook air was to watch some telly on a decent laptop. Come on Sky Go - get a fix sorted !

I would agree!
Plus it's not working in a usable manner on my 24h2 Win 11 ARM laptop but working fully on my Win11 24h2 Intel laptop. If you read back over the various discussions other people have had similar issues and possible cures but nothing consistent.
In fact some people seem to have it working on ARM but some have similar issues on Win11 24h2 on Intel, some believe they have solved it by installing a previous version of windows 11, installing SkyGo then updating windows!
This has been a recurring theme for several months in various forms.
This would indicate that maintainance of SkyGo is of a low priority and has perhaps become too complex for all the permutations of windows.
As the discussion starter has suggested, surely this issue could be resolved by going to a browser based version. If security is an issue how do other streaming services control this?
I imagine that when Sky Go launched having the app was the best approach but at this point rewriting it for the web is probably a major project and they have other priorities at the moment.
They have an advertised service that doesn't work for many people and it's not a priority!
I will not be adding to this thread.
Thanks
I'm not saying it's NOT a priority, only Sky can answer that, I'm just hypothesising.

Been looking for community threads on APPLE SUPPORT to clear this issue - but EVERY ONE follows the same story: 1. Delete all Sky apps; 2. Reinstall. BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. The threads are then being closed down as "Completed" by "Apple Employees". This option "iphone=>iMac screen" appears helpful, but the Screen Mirroring option on Control Centre gives the following message on iMac: "SORRY! Playback is not allowed on external displays." So I can only think Apple don't want people watching Sky on iMac anymore. I haven't looked at watching Sky through Apple TV - but that would require yet another paid subscription!!
My sky app will not accept my post code
I had a similar issue and established that my Windows antivirus firewall was preventing the app from installing/updating.
I temporarily disabled the firewall because I noticed I received a Windows app integrity warning regarding 'Sky Go' that only briefly popped up on the right side of the screen. Once I had turned off the Windows firewall, the app immediately finished the update process. I then received a message from my firewall asking if I trusted Sky Go and ticked the relevant box. I turned the windows firewall on again and since then, there have been no issues.
It tells you that you can't view, Sky Techs know about it but can't get an answer to say when it'll be fixed
