The third party in question is also the provider of the DRM used by many Sky products, so is well placed to work on this solution with them.
I didn't ask and don't expect a browser only solution, all I ask is that they develop for the worlds most popular browser giving me the choice of how I view. I, and many others, would like to stream on a browser of our choice, but sky will not develop for this.
If I want to stream sky channels I am forced to do so on an insecure platform.
