I have tried all the tips suggested on this thread and still Sky Go does not work.
Sky cannot help me and despite being a customer for over 15 years, I have resigned to cancelling my subscription his summer when it is up.
Their customer service is apalling.
You mean the defaul MacOS screenshot tool accessed via e.g. cmd + shift + 3? Is there a way to quit that? I've removed all of the shortcuts (System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Screenshot) for it so that it's not accessible but I still cannot load anything on Sky Go.
Note: I don't have any other 3rd party snipping tools installed.
Great information, did as you suggested, bingo! Worked like a charm, we recently had our SkyQ main box changed due to a faulty hard drive, now my tablet is successfully paired to the new box.

I dont own a Mac so I would presume that is the one other folks have been discussing earlier in this thread.
I rang sky for the 3rd time last week they are aware of all the problems with the New sky go app but there is nodate whentheywill fix this there does not seem any urgency at all I use windows 7 and 10 on a laptop and computer both still not working cant believe sky put this out before testing it seems to work ok on mobiles and x box etc but not computers or laptops not a good service at all in fact poor
Other forums are full of people complaining that they are unable to watch live sports via the Sky Sports APP on their iPads but can on iPhones so we are not alone. Some people on other forums say the issue started last year. For me it started with the latest iOS update from Apple about a month ago.
I’ve got around the problem by installing the Sky Sports for iPad APP (from the APP Store) and can now watch all Sky Sports Channels live except Sky Sports Mix which isn’t available.
You should be able to watch all the sports channels including Sky Sports Mix via the Sky Go app.
My Sky Go App works fine but twhen I try and view video clips on SkySports app they will not play, they play the preceeding advert fine but not the main video file.
Strangley I download the SkySports app for the iphone on to my Ipad and all videos worked fine?
I have sky go extra, we have it on my husbands i phone. Can we throw it, mirror it or show it on to a smart tv when visiting my sons house?
No you cannot, sky go is only supposed to be used on a mobile devices built-in display, external connections are disabled

My PC is being slowed by the Sky Go App on Windows 10 with the following spec. Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, 8Gb RAM & Core i5, 3210M - 2.5ghz.
Whenever I run the app it runs at 50/60% of the CPU on my PC and sometimes spikes to 80/90% CPU. This cannot be correct and I would think that it is an issue with the app or the Cisco software that also runs with it.
CPU useage runs at 30/40% for the sky go app and the same for the cisco videoguard.

We have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app. We have updated Java. We have uninstalled, deleted all the temporary files such as A1AB named here), but when you reinstall a new temporary file takes its place. We have uninstalled, deleted everything on the laptop to do with Sky (such as the files named at the bottom of the error message), and still the same error message (just with a new temp file code) when you reinstall & open it.
Sky support have been worse than useless and identified it as a 'computer language problem'. Has anyone encountered anything like this before, or have any suggestions for things to try?

It's useable, but only just and if I run anthing else things slow significantly.
my sky go app will not load up. its just frozen on the main logo. can anyone help?
My main SkyQ box crashed and now I'm stuck with this on one channel. How do I clear the cache as it keeps trying to play the same 30 seconds of the show that was playing at the time it crashed. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the SkyGo app and deleted the app from the AppData\Roaming\Sky folder. Incredibly frustrating!!!

Tired of this desktop app already.
Even when it works the picture is juddering and thus very hard to watch.
Unless I am misunderstand you your Sky Q box crashing has nothing to do with the app on your PC or Mac that you are using so as well as doing what you have done have you also uninstalled everything Cisco related inclusing the Cisco Videoguard Player folder in AppData > Local > Cisco > VideoGuard Player and AppData > LocalLow > Cisco > VideoGuard (delete this). As well as unisntalling the Sky Go app again and then the Sky Go/Sky folders in App Data > Roaming.
Sky go working fine on my android phone for the last couple of months, now when i try watch a programme it only shows 1 minute of the show eg. WC game thats live now... i can watch from 5.23min to 6.22 mins and then im told to turn on the wi-fi, im using my data which is unlimited and the speed is 72m...... anybody any suggestions please.
