After giving details to sky over facebook messaging, I've just checked on my phone again and it has setup and is working. Really appreciate your input, caesarome.

Thanks for your help caesarome, but unfortunately have given that a go and it still doesn't work.

Followed the instructions step by step on the sky diagnostic flow link you shared, apart from not being able to set both my short and long dates to the same format as don't have the option they indicate for the long date (see below photo). Could this be the issue?

 

Any other ideas??

Hello,

 

I have started getting the message "Initialisation failed to complete in a timely manor", it then gives me the option to retry and then it comes back. This is on the main skygo screen. Any ideas?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem, new Macbook pro latest operating system sky go will not install!

Any ideas to to solve this?

Trying to use the My Sky app to report a problem with my Sky Talk (as that’s what the service page on my tv is telling me to do). App won’t let me get beyond sign in as it says I need to accept T’s and C’s which I have done multiple times. No amount of deleting and restarting helps. Can anyone help please?

Problem with xbox 360

Hello, 

 

For the past few weeks, I have been having problem with the app using my xbox 360.

 

Every 5-10 minutes, I keep getting the message "sky service temporarily unavailable" when I go back on to the home screen, the channel loads straight away. This happens with both live TV and playback services. 

 

I have tried deleting the app  clearing the cache and reinstalling but nothing has changed.

Try logging into your online Sky account here:

 

https://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/mysky

 

And go to the Billing section and look at your latest bill as it should ask you here to accept the terms and conditions here and when you have done so you should be able to use the MySky app without this issue anymore.

I wouldn't worry about the date part of that link as that is actually for a different error, just go through the uninstall and deleted files and folders parts.

Hello 

 

Try a complete uninstall by following this guide as you need to also delete some hidden folders. After you have done this try a reboot before installing it again.

Just rejoined Sky after a 1 year break.  Got my Android app working in seconds.  The MAC app just does not work. Rebooted started from scratch 3 times!! Just goes into a loop asking me to upgrage to latest app. Very frustrating.....how ard can it be to get this stuff right? Why did i go back??????

Hello

We have a Samsung Android tablet with Sky Go installed however unlike most of the apps we cannot move the app to the SD card which means we can only download about 1GB of footage which is not good for a long trip.

 

Is there away to get the app onto the AD cars or direct the media to save to the SD card like you can on iPlayer?
