Perhaps it is because you are not in the UK, I would try a reboot again before trying again.
Tried that but still not working. It downnloads sky go app but when I click watch it tells me to sign in., which I've already done. Sky Go doesn't appear in the Mac applications folder.
Actually Sky Go is in Launcher, but not Applications folder.

Does watching through the sky sports app take up an extra device though?
I dont have any spare slots, does this mean I need to deregister my sky go or if i'm using the same device to watch through the sports app rather than sky go app then it wont matter?
Won't work on smartphones or ipads/tablets - but you can watch by downloading Sky Go on your Laptop & then connect Laptop to Projector
Using the Sky Sports app doesn't take up a new device if it is being used on one that you already access Sky Go on it as it will use the same registration.

How did you reset your IP address? I've rebooted several times through the Admin and also hard rebooting and it's still not working?
How long did you leave your router off for, as I would try leaving it off for longer.

At least 20mins. I have no problem streaming any other content (Netflix, iPlayer etc). How long would you suggest to leave it off for?

I was thinking you might have left it off for a few minutes as I would have thought 20 minutes was more than enough time, I presume you do have a static IP address, if you don't then all you can do is to try again perhaps leave it off for 30 minutes.

Same issue - error 9004 when I use the player. I've tried re-installing etc with no joy. So now can't watch Sky on my MacBook Pro (latest OS, Mojave, latest Safari 12.0, newly downloaded app). Please address this!
Hi all, I am a sky customer with telephone, broadband, sports package. I have downloaded sky go, signed in, then when I click to view, I get a pop up that says “ to enjoy this service, please upgrade your subscription”

You might have to contact Sky support about this if what you are trying to view is in line with your TV subscripition:

If you are trying to download content then you need a Sky Go Extra sub and Sky Boxsets access requires a Sky Box sub.
