I know how that feels, it is not the most easy of things to do, Cancel. Should bre made a lot simpler. Did you manage to speak to someone? If you did when you should not worry as I found them to be helpful and understanding, they know these things can happen, it the peoe who just don't do nothing that get blacklisted as you put it. If you have not then please contact them by phone/email and explain and say how stressful this has been for you, as it is a nice perk to have from sky. All the best.

Hi.

If I had the Sky go extra, and used an Xbox 360 as one of the devices would I be able to record Sky onto the Xbox hard drive?.

You can not record using Sky Go as it does have this function built into the app.

Also when doing that and before installing it again do a search for anything Sky and Cisco related and delete these as well incase anything is left behind and wasn't removed.

Recent change to sky q  - same problem re but sport and premier sports channels. Reply from sky was to reset sky q box and restart etc. - still did not work.

planning to contact sky tech again

Can you confirm that you are getting the same error message?

Are you the account holder in the UK?  

Could the number of devices have been exceeded?  

Has someone changed the password?  

Have you updated or changed your Macbook?

Have you deleted all traces of the rogue files as per the link, including all Cisco files?

The next time it happens don't remove it as a device but instead contact Sky so they can look into it for you,

Why is it that I get a codec error 14 on skygo and it shuts down yet I can watch Eurosport forever. Has Sky got another issue that they need to resolve

Resuscitating an old thread.

This error comes up if you're trying to view something not in your subscription but is all catch-up available to everyone?

I mean, if you're on the legacy Original Bundle, can you download catch-up episodes from channels only in Variety/Entertainment? Equally, if you have Entertainment but no Kids, are episodes of say Nickelodeon available on the app on catch-up? Or would you just get 1310 and an upgrade your subscription message?

I don't really understand how this error would come up for incorrect login details: does this mean in the sense that someone's logged in with an ID from another account? Surely all the IDs linked to a Sky account will be able to access the same TV subscription on Sky Go.

I installed the Sky Go app on my Windows 10 64bit laptop several times but encountered the black screen every time I started the app.

I uninstalled the app, then logged into my account on the sky website and again downloaded the app from within my acount. Again when I started it the black screen appeared so I closed the app but did not uninstall it and went back to my account and clicked on the other option "Already have sky desktop app? Click here".  The app openup up properly, a new window asking for my login details appeared and when this was completed the app worked perfectly.

So the solution appears to be : install the app but don't open it, go to your sky account and click on the option described.

 I get this message when launching sky q app on my iPad.When I then click the ‘Go to ‘On my pad’ nothing happens and I cannot access my downloaded programmes.Shutting down and relaunching app don’t make a difference.Can anyone help?

 Pictures have to be approved by a Community Manager or Oracle and not many of us around over night to do that it should show now. 

 

If the fault continues delete delete the app and reload it.

I have Sky Q multi room. All mini boxes work fine and the Sky Q app works fine on my Android 8.1 mobile but when I try to use the Q app on my Android tablet it fails. It initially finds the box but when I press the connect button it returns the error "sorry, because of a technical issue, we've not been able toconnect  to your sky q box". 

 

I have tried turning the box off and back on and reinstalling the Q app, I even had an OS upgrade from Android on the tablet to 8.1 and performed a factory reset afterwards but nothing seems to work. The SkyGo app works fine!Screenshot_2018-12-15-07-48-43-617.jpeg

I don’t believe the number of devices has been exceeded not has my password been changed.

I am not using a MacBook, I’m using windows 10 on a Lenovo. The app has worked perfectly for me over the last 14 weeks up until a few days ago when I received the message “initialisation failed to complete in a timely manner”.
