Play Button not working

In Sky Go I can access the guides but when I press play nothing happens on any of the programs I select.  Recently did a software update and have never had this probelm before. Any ideas?

I’m trying to watch downloaded programs on my laptop and am getting the error code PFE 9012.

 

Any suggestions as to what the issue is?

Since you did the software update it might be worth deleting the app, rebooting the device and installing the app again.

The only possible fix for this error is a complete removal of the app and hidden files, to do this follow the guide here. You can ignore the date and time bit.

Error message - Home OK, but away won`t work

Hi,

 

My Sky Go that I use on an Android Tablet works fine when I am at home on my on wi-fi. However, away from home I keep getting an `unknown error message` - then an error code.  I`m wondering if there is something I need to activate to allow non home wifi to be used. I have tried un-installing and re-installing 3 times now, to no avail.

 

Any thoughts?

When trying to watch recorded shows or shows which are live I’m getting an error code. I’ve tried rebooting the sky w from our box and tried restarting but nothing works

It did work on my Huawei P30 Pro at first but it since stopped all of a sudden.

Have same problem in France for last 2 weeks (worked fine before that) - same message as you "EU Portability". Have tried evry "fix" from every blog i could find without success but had no joy. Also had no response to my own post so am on verge of giving up (SkyGo works fine on same account in UK)............

 

Anybody? any ideas?

 How long is it since the device your trying access Sky Go on has been used with a UK based IP address?

Hello all

 

Think I have found the solution, this at least worked on one of my clients Microsoft Windows 7 laptops which was experiencing this issue.

 

Use this guide to run troubleshooting on Aero theme and reset the Aero theme settings:

I think the change that the troubleshooter made which made all the different was changing the display adapter from High Colour 16-bit to True Colour 32-bit.  If I am right this change can be made manually:

Hmmm. My daughter accessed our Sky account via SkyGo on her device in the UK this week - no problem. In relation to the particular device i have tried it on, it is a few months perhaps since used in the UK. Unless something has been changed (very) recently this seems odd as it worked perfectly on the same device since April of last year each time we tried in France or Spain up until last m,onth.

Officially a device can only be used in the EU for 37 days before it needs to return to the UK and connect to the internet here, if you have been able to use it for months before hand then I would say you probably have been a bit lucky with this because what you are describing here is how the system works when outside of the UK.

Aha! So that makes sense maybe if the settings have changed. The specfiic device needs to log onto SkyGo in the UK minumum every 37 days. It is not sufficient to just log onto the account with another device in the UK each 37 days. Have i understood that correctly (makes sense i suppose but it certainly seems to have changed recently and indeed i must have been "lucky" up to that).?

Maybe Sky found people abusing the logging in of Sky Go devices by other people in the UK to get around it too many and cracked down on it?

Hello I have same issue for about a week! Seems to opens partially and closes down after checking for updates.

 

Did you ever get this fixed?  I just phones Sky and told me to contact Apple but there nothing wrong with my MBP Mojave

Sky Sports Mobile TV iOS App Not Working

HI i use the sky sports mobile tv app brought through my itunes acount, when connected to any WiFi network i keep getting the same message pop up whichbis " Temporary network problem, There seems to be a problem connecting to our service at present. Please try again later. Error code 11." when using 3/4G the app works not a problem.

That is how I understand it to have worked and as far as I know is how it has always worked since this was introduced.

Sky Q app error watching recordings

Hi, was half way through watching a recording and it froze on the Sky Q app on an iPad , I can no longer watch any recordings, I get a unknown error message try again.

 

Have uninstalled the app and re installed with no joy. Can watch catch up just not recordings.

 

can anyone help please.
