I’m trying to use the Sky Go app on my mobile. I can login but every time I try to watch something on there, it keeps telling me I need to update my subscription. Does anyone know how to do this and how much it costs?

It depends what you trying to watch, do you have a subscription for the content?

Whenever I try to watch something on catch up which I should be able to watch I get a message - ' You will need to be a sky customer with the relevant package to watch this program '. I have the relevant package. My father can watch things from his sky go app onon the same account from his phone with no issue. I can even watch sky one/Atlantic on live tv from PS4 however whenever I try to watch something on catch up I get the same message. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app. I've called sky only to be put on hold for 40 minutes and then the minute someone picked up the phone the line went dead. I have emailed countless times. can anyone please help

You should be able to download the first 2 episodes of Manifest via search. Further episodes are currently box sets only.

Can you see Manifest in Top Picks on the top row in the app? Downloading to the app seems okay from there.

I’ve had issues for ages with skygo. Whether through a browser or when they changed to this desktop app. It’s been the bane of my life for years, on and off at least. I recently narrowed it down to the network adapter on my laptop, as when I changed the settings, it reset the connections and improved the performance to some extent, although temporarily. So I bought a cheap USB adapter for £10 and that seems to have done the trick.

What is it you are trying to watch? Sometimes you need to go into the All section of catch up to get them to work properly on the console apps.

With those two series' it kind of depends how you get to the content. Searching for them might work, or maybe selecting them from the Top Picks row on the home screen might work.
On the console apps you need to go into the All sections of catch up and play them from there.

really rather frustrated!!
So my ex had a sky account, we used the sky go app on my laptop, hes left, i have a new sky account, username,ID the lot, however my sky go app on my laptop will only recognise his old account i've removed it and uninstalled it about 50 million (or so it seems) times, re-installed through sky website using my sign in etc but still it will not recognise me!! I've managed to get my phone and xbox to re-install using my details but not my laptop, please help!!!

Close the app and delete the Sky Go folder in Roaming on Windows (c:\users|<user>\AppData\Roaming\ - Delete Sky Go folder). If you can't see this folder then open Windows Explorer and make sure the box against hidden items is ticked. This can be found under the view menu.

Resizing screen during initiation worked for more... Ridiculous solution but thanks for sharing! Is this a joke sky? What on earth is wrong with the start up?

I'm guessing you're on the PC app? The download works via Top Picks on iOS but gives an error on the PC app.
I have to be careful checking them as there is a limit of 2 on how many times we can download things
