Thanks for replies so far. Seems original problem something to do with it being a company laptop and a security setting to sort. Now sorted that, but only getting what was his original channels package list rather than the ones I'm passing on to include BT Sport.
Suggests there was an error in seeting up the Additional ID

It's happening on both my mobile and my laptop. Everything was fine until today. On the laptop I get a message saying "cannot read property '0' of undefined.
Sky Go stopped working on Laptop - Windows 10
All was working fine on Saturday. But since then nothing - sky go will not open up. It does a start up checks for updates and then shuts down. Over the last few days I've done the following:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times
- Checked for any hidden folders e.g. cisco videoguard as referenced on other forums. There aren't any
- Disconnected and reconnected to my VPN just in case that was causing a problem - even though it never has.
- Removed anything that was in my recycle bin
- And of course constantly restarted my laptop inbetween all the uninstalling and reinstalling.
After doing all of the above several times sky go wil not work and I've run out of ideas. Even when it did work it's continual buffering was a pain and made watching sport frustrating (and yes I did follow the instructions to try and prevent this but they didn't work either).
So if anyone has any good ideas about how I can get it working again I'd be grateful. Perhaps someone from sky might like to take an interest but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Also noticed that since installing the cisco videoguard folders have re-appeared which I presume is correct?

Finally sorted it
When I reinstalled sky go the cisco videoguard folder re-appeared. Deleted the folders and hey presto it now works.

My family use the app in Ireland. If somebody hadn't used the sky go app for a while I would ask them to log in and I would be able to use Sky go again but in the last few days error 1414 won't go away.

The buffering is awful on Sky Go on my PC but the network connection is fine when I play games on the same machine.. it does look like an issue with SkyGo. I also tried the change in settings and that didn't work.

On your laptop try this:
Try uninstalling the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:
Sky
Sky Go
And if it is present the Cisco folder in App\Data\LocalLow.
Empty your recycle bin.
Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.
On your mobile, delete the app and reboot it before installing the app again.

Are you sure you followed those instructions to the letter as they are directly from Sky and have worked for everyone else who has tried them ?
Sky Sports Mobile TV app not working....again - a monthly ritual
Once again, the Sky Sports Mobile TV app (Android) is refusing to recognise my valid, fully paid up, subscription.
It happens at the start of every month, around the time of the billing renewal. I have been charged and show as having an active subscription.
But I still cannot watch any of the sports channels. I login to the app (which you have to do every single time you open it, why can it not remember your login details?) but it does not let me watch any of the channels I am paying for.
When you click to watch a channel, the App asks you to log in - even though you are already logged in. You log in and out, you go through the trouble shooting, you unistal and reinstal the app. Nothing works.
The only way to resolve the issue is to get hold of the one or two people working for Sky who know anything about the app. Emailing gets you a link to the trouble shooting you have already tried and which does not work.
Calling gets you through to someone with no clue what you are talking about. Last time I asked (politely) to be put through to someone else who could help me - the operator then hung up on me.
Why are Sky so incapable or unwilling to provide a working app, or proper support for that app?
I am paying every month for an app which, for at least several days per month, is unusable until someone at Sky deigns to reset my device to allow me to watch the service I am paying for.
Clearly, this is not an isolated incident - it happens to me every month, and there are loads of other people (on the app store and elsewhere) with similar complaints.
Kindly sort this out, Sky - take a bit of pride in providing the service that people are paying for.

You have given this answer before, caesarome, but it is not true. I have been using the app for months,
almost a year now from Europe. Any time I was unable to use the Sky go app, someone at home logged in and used the app for a while and I was able to use it again, I never had to lug my PC onto Ryanair. This appearance of error 1414 is a recent thing and it coincides with Bexit. It may be that UK customers have new rules as a result of Brexit (what a mess) but I don't think that Irish customers should have the same issue..
