Give this a try:
Hold CMD + Alt + ESC (command+option + esc) and force quit any open applications apart from Sky Go and Safari and then see if it will work.

Sorry that didn't work any other ideas. It came out of the blue as I have used SKYGo a number of times in the past.
Sky sports mobile tv subscription has expired without my knowledge or consent

I doubt they need your consent. But the alternative is Sky Go if you have the relevant subscriptions.
(I also note that if you're within Sky Mobile there's no charges for the data either)
We are constantly evaluating the needs of our customers and our product offering. As part of this, we no longer offer Sky Sports Mobile TV and will be phasing the full removal of the app from our portfolio from July.
The Sky Sports Mobile TV app is still available if you've already renewed your subscription, but you won't be able to subscribe again once that subscription is up.
See Sky Sports Mobile TV app closure for further information.
I am currently camping and trying to watch the us open on sky go. It's telling me either error sps3 or I need to upgrade when I already have the sky package
Do you have multiscreen subscription?
You only need multiscreen to watch on a tablet or phone at home, not out and about. I think!
Do oother channels work okay?
So you closed all apps about from Sky Go and the Sarafi web browser ?
But I'm not 100% sure 😂
Sky Go Extra is not required when using Sky Go outside somewhere. Multiscreen is needed when the app is connected to a Q box and Sky Go Extra is required when try to download content to the app only when it is not connected to the Q box.
Try installing the Sky Sports app and see if that will work for you,
I've been with Sky over 20 years....loyalty....but now thinking stupidity, as loyalty means nothing.
Up until 1 month ago I was able to watch sky go on my iPad. Now I get the error sorry something went wrong.
ive called the help line and they say they can see the iPad connecting ok, and it is a registered device (I only have 2 of 4 devices allowed). And my subscription is not the issue.
the only difference is I have 4 options at the bottom of the sky go screen (I don't have the Qrecordings option.
this points to an old version but its not I'm running 21.5.3 and I'm running IOS 14.6
the help desk logged a problem and gave me a case number over a week ago but I've been ignored!
ive tried removing the device and reconnecting
ive tried uninstalling sky go and reinstalling
ive looked at the community and saw this but
2 - Ensure that you don't have a VPN in use on the device? If you do, please turn this off and check to see if Sky Go connects to the Sky Q box. VPN in use Y/N? NO VPN IS IN USE
3 - Confirm you have Multiscreen subscription? Y/N SKY CONFIRMED THIS IS OK
4 - Within the Sky Go app, check that you have "Connect to Sky Q box" setting set to "ON" Y/N? YES
nothing is helping.?
can anyone please help me?
thanks
Many thanks for sorting this out and updating my account.
Have you tried disconnection the connection to your Sky Q box and then rebooting your iPad ?
I open the Sky Go app and the the sky menus open. I click on one of the channels to view but a message box appears saying something has gone wrong and to restart or contact customer services for uspport and quote error code: PFE 9001-IH.
What is the problem?
Thank you I got an answer and it solved my problem
Yes I did. The only one other than skygo and safari was finder which you can't force quit.
It came back. Not sure if I got help or if it resolved itself. Sky help wanted details despite me having said the issue here so I ignored. All good though.
