Sky Go - Upgrade your subscription.

I have Sky Q multi-room and the full Sky TV package. I'm trying to watch the sports channel on Sky go, however every time I try I get an error message that tells me I need to update my subscription. Works fine on the Tv just on on the Sky go app? Any ideas?

Now you have change password go to this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage


If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off, this might not stop them straight away but it will over a day or so.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to 24 hours to be contacted via this.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

There should be a chat bubble at the bottom of this page, so if you are using Safari as your web browser it might be blocked by default as there is a settings labelled "Hide IP Address" that must not be ticked so if it is untick it. If you can't find this try using a different web browser like Google Chrome.

Update - We have looked into this on a private chat and foud the app was showing the incorrect subscriptions on the account.

I have recently re joined sky when i sign into my sky app it is showing my old account number

Hi i have recently re joined sky after 3 years when i sign into my sky app it is showing my old account number and not my new one so i cant see bills etc. how do i get it to show my new account numver?

How many concurrent streams am I allowed when connected to the sky q box? I called sky and they said sky go extra has now ended.

 

The maximum I can currently stream is 2 but I thought it was 4?

Firstly logout of the app as you will need to setup a new Sky ID as you will have a new account now as your old one will be long since closed.

 

If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:


https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

 

Now login to the app with your new ID and password.

It is only 4 if you have both multiscreen, which I presume you have and also have Sky Go Extra. For them to say it is ended is incorrect as it should still be available so if you can't see it as a reward via Sky VIP (on the MySky app) then you will need to call Skly again to get it added to your account.

Everytime I open the app either normally or as admin it crashes after it gets to 'Updating..' I've tried both the beta version and the regular version and neither work. And I've tried recommended steps of uninstalling and deleting specific folders in AppData. Is there any other solution to try?

If you hadn't discontinued using Sky Go in the browser then I'd just use that but nooo lets force people to use an app that doesn't work instead. It works on my crappy HP laptop so I don't get why it won't work on my pc. Please can you help since it's your app that isn't working? Thanks

I think you may be overestimating the ability or willingness of Sky to interact with customers over anything other than issues which can be resolved by following a call centre script.

I found this by Googling:
