Hi everytime I try to sign into my sky app it tells me my postcode is invalid, I've tried it with spaces and without spaces and I still can't sign in

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to 24 hours to be contacted via this.

Sky go app fails to load in Windows10
For some weeks Sky Go app fails to load. It worked previously on my Dell laptop. i have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. I see other posts on this failure, but my experience is slightly different. Here it is.
The app begins to load, and a screen appears with the message on a blue background "checking for updates" but it sticks at that and stalls. Task Manager shows zero CPU but 395 MB memory usage. After reinstalling the app, the message moves on to "downloading updates" and finally "updating" but then turns off. After that, all that happens is as described above, repeating the "searching for updates" every time it is started, and then no more progress.

When you deleted the app did you also remove the hidden files and folders it uses as these are not removing when deleting the app ?

Hi,
I work away from home a lot and always seem to have issues with Sky Go latest one is this
I still have over 3 week to the expire date but now cannot watch anything I've downloaded to Sky Go.
Anyone able to tell me what the issue here is? I'm no at the point of stopping using Sky Go because its so unreliable when travelling.
I'm using a Windows laptop running Windows 10

thanks for your reply. I used the Windows "add or remove programs" resource in Windows 10, so don't know about the hidden files you mentioned. Could you please give further advice on where I might find additional files that will need to be removed.

One thing to check in the app via settings that the connection to a Sky Q box is turned off.
If it is the only possible fix is to completely remove the app and the hidden files and folders it uses, this will mean the downloads will be deleted as well so you might not be able to download them again.
Uninstall the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:
Sky
Sky Go
And if it is present the Cisco and/or Synamedia folder in App\Data\LocalLow.
Empty your recycle bin.
Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

thanks for the advice. annoyingly the problem persists. I have noted that although the app appears to be starting, I am not requested to sign in to the app. I have signed in to my Sky account elsewhere but no option to sign in to Sky Go. Could this be the problem?
Sky vip not working on app
For months now when I try to access the sky vip section on my app I get the following message:
We're really sorry, but you can't join SKY VIP right now
it could be because
Your new to sky and your service aren't set up yet.
SKY VIP is'nt avalble with your package
Your a NOW TV customer. it only works on SKY customers
Your're in your 31 day cancellation period
Your services are suspended due to a billing issue
You work for sky
I mentioned this when renewing my contract recently on the phone and they said they send something through to refresh the app but nothing ever happened. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the same problem, the recordings sometimes dont show in the sky go app on windows which iwatch in the kitchen, so what i have to do is go to one of the three sky Q boxes, play the recording for a few seconds , then go back to the windows pc in the kitchen, it will then show up on recent programmes.
Not brilliant solution, but works.
Red circle appears trying to watch netflix
I get really frustrated every time i want to watch neflix .i cannot get onto this for hours .the red circle stays on for a long time then goes on to a picture then when i press to watch it .it just goes bsck to the red circle again please help as im looseing the will
Sky Go Keeps Crashing After Trying To Update - Windows 10
Everytime I open the app either normally or as admin it crashes after it gets to 'Updating..' I've tried both the beta version and the regular version and neither work. And I've tried recommended steps of uninstalling and deleting specific folders in AppData. Is there any other solution to try?
If you hadn't discontinued using Sky Go in the browser then I'd just use that but nooo lets force people to use an app that doesn't work instead. It works on my crappy HP laptop so I don't get why it won't work on my pc. Please can you help since it's your app that isn't working? Thanks

It shouldn't be as I was checking that you didn't have Sky Glass as it would be an issue then.
