Thanks for providing an official response @Chloe-W22 - although I was disappointed to realise that what I was led to believe would be solution is in fact just a request for more info.
I can confirm I've followed these exact steps a few times now and still have the same the exact same issues, ie. the (apparently successfully installed) updated version just bounces a single time in the dock, then disappears. Subsequently checking Activity Monitor shows it's no longer running. There's no dialog or crash report that pops up as with most other app crashes on a Mac, just a single bounce and it quits itself silently.
I can't confirm whether changing SIP status makes Sky Go work again - although it does seem both strange and frustrating to silently introduce this additional barrier to using something which has worked without it for some years.
Prior to updating, maybe around a month or so ago I remember getting a popup upon opening the app one time, informing me of the impending end-of-support for Sierra & High Sierra users (as mentioned in one of the stickies on this forum's front page). It struck me as weird that this deprecation was being flagged on my system as I use a later version (ie. Ventura). Was this meant to have been shown to all users regardless of whether we were due to be affected or not?
I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it otherwise, but it struck me that if the app is incapable of targeting specifically affected versions when displaying that message, is it not equally possible that the app has been deprecated for more MacOS versions than was intended?

I got through to Tom at Sky who took all the relevant details. He then had to go to a training session. On coming out of the training he requested a screenshot of the error message etc. I turned on the app to do this ..... and it worked. No issues at all ....

Sky Go additional users - Unable to remove??
Hi all
I'm trying to remove an additional user on my account that I set up ages ago so my brother could watch it. Problem is he's on it all the time and I can't watch whenever I want to. Tried to go to My account then Additional users, I can see him on there, I click Remove User and then it just reloads the same page.
Is it an issue at Sky or do I have to ring up?

To get them off you need to do this:
First change your password:
https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/
Then go to this link:
https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage
If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off, this might not stop them straight away but it will over a day or so.

the fundamental problem is that its a bad JS app and they should just let Mac users use the iPad app which works (on Apple Silicon). I've given up on this the whole SkyGo system is so annoying it makes one want to NOT use it. The things are as annying as they are becasue of security but all of the material is available on-line in other places so why not allow people who have paid for the service to actaully enjoy it rather than having to fight your inane security which only stops us using it not the pirates copying the content.

Thank you, however this only works for someone using my login.
I added an additional user for them to use the Sky Go so they don't have access to my bills etc.
I'm trying to remove them here - https://www.sky.com/mydetails/additional-users but as soon as you click remove user, the page just reloads and doesn't remove the user?

I have never done this myself but can you not do it fot the additional user account you created by making sure you are logged into both of those links with that ID that you created for them and not your main primary one ?

No, unfortuantely not. If you log in on the additional user account there's no way to unlink it.
Is there a way I can chat to Sky about it online? Really don't want to ring up and be waiting for ages.

Forget about the additional users link, you should be able to reset the password on that account by making sure you are logged into that acount, so if you can do that are you then able to log back into that account with the changed password to the second link here namely this one - https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage

I've done this and they're still able to watch it, I even removed the device.
My assumption is that they're logged in automatically and it won't go off until I can remove the additional user completely.
Is it just worth ringing Sky or is there an admin on here from Sky I can ask for help?

If you have both reset the password on their account and removed everything via the apps link then this should work but it doesn't happen straight away.

Hi,
I have his issue on my Macbook as well.
Spent 45 minutes on the phone to Sky Tech Support rep yesterday and exhausted all possibilites without solving the issue.
Interesting point is that if I select a 'non live' item to watch I can see the 2 minutes of advertisments before the doughnut and the 9012 message!!!!
Can not fault the help I got but could really do with a resolution to this issue or at least an acknowledgement from SKY that there is a known issue and some pathway to its resolution has at least been commenced.
As a long standing Sky customer I woud really appreciate some meaningful feedback on this issue ot I WILL be reviewing my subscription options.

Hi, I am getting a message on sky go on my xbox and plastation saying "skygo is not available in this country. I am in the UK and it has been working no problem up until yesterday.
