I was running sky go app fine on my windows laptop (not sure if its win 7 or 11, but it is 2.5 years old) until a week ago and I thought it might be the internet speed so I decided to reinstall the app. Turns out this is not the issue.
However, since then the app loads and goes through checking for updates but then disappears completely before I even get to the log in screen.
I called sky, who advised I try compatability mode and turn off antivirus. having tried therse options nothing fixed the issue.
The sky go app location is "C:\Users\my folder \AppData\Roaming\Sky\Sky Go\Sky Go.exe"
I am told I could try a fresh reinstallation to factory settings of my laptop but I would rather avoid this as it is cumbersome and would have to backup all my files.
I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue and has any solution to this issue

Try removing the app completely by installing it again.
Uninstall the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:
Sky
Sky Go
And if it is present (it might not be) the Cisco and/or Synamedia folder in App\Data\LocalLow.
Empty your recycle bin.
Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again via here:

Company laptop will not let me install Sky Go
I have a company laptop which will not let me install SkyGo, is there a way to stream Sky Sports without installing SkyGo?

I have checked the board but still don't have an answer. I can see that the issue was escalated in 2023, but the conclusion isn't available so I'm none the wiser.
I transferred to Sky broadband at the beginning of the week. The signal isn't great in my office but that's another issue. I record a lot of programmes but also meetings of a national organisation of which I am a member and have just got the PFE 9027 IH error code. Advice please. Thanks in advance
Chicago pd recording
When I go to watch Chicago PD the first segment plays fine but after the first set of adverts there is just a black screen, though the sound is fine. When you fast forward the ad. breaks play as normal but the screen is completely black for the drama. This has now happened twice : season 12, episode 5 and 6.
I have tried watching at different times , not using ad. skipping and turning off at the mains and restarting, though recordings of other shows are playing fine.

Are you using a VPN because if you are it will need disabling.

Same.I dont have multi room but a family member with an ios has tried it without multiroom and it works,so its definitely an android issue,but @Laing1 said they were using it earlier in the thread on an android device,so im hoping someone with it working can tell us on what android device they are using it.

Sky Go - You need to update your subscription
Every time I try and watch something on Sky Go it says I need to update my subscription. I subscribe to all the channels I am trying to watch.
Sky telephone support seem clueless.
This happened after I tried Sky Stream but then reverted back to Sky Q.
Can somebody help?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.
This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.

You have posted this in the Sky Q forum but your title says it is Sky Go related so can you explain a bit clearer about what your issue is and on what device ?

Are you saying the channel isn't appearing on Sky Go as it really isn't clear at all what your issue is or was ?
