Have just checked out Sky Go version 6.1.0 on the phone and all is good there, no problems, thank you to you and the team for trying to sort this.

Hi ive managed to install sky go app on my Macbook and managed to Download a few programs off of Box sets, when i press my downloads it tells me to install the latest version of sky go app, which i have done repeatedly any advice would be great!
Could not agree more, it is a conspiracy between Sky and Microsoft. Why pay for a subscription when you can or have to access the same program using an unauthorised source.
No wonder people are reluctant to pay for subscriptions.

Anyone paying for the SKY Go service who are experieincing this problem and payby UK credit card can recover all the amounts paid directly from the credit card provider , if Sky Go refuse to re credit..

The answer: You have to delete ONE device and then add it... do not delete more than one... if you mess it up, then you have to wait another month to try again.... yes, this is progress "Sky-style"... the company where 75mbps twisted copper is labelled "reliable high speed fibre".....
Or go through the pain of talking to Sky and ask them for more device changes, but have them try to sell you Movies/Boxsets while they fix a problem that was completely avoidable, happening to all Windows users and 100% their fault!

Only Sky could make an app feel so much worse than a website (now full screen has a grey bar across the top, clunky swapping back and forth between the website and then having to alt-tab back to the app every time you change channels).... honestly, it looks like a failed GCSE project for win95!! I used to be able to maximise the website onto one of my 3 screens and replicate a really decent TV feel while I was working on the other two. I'm sorry for the hard-working team of developers who are probably being made to jump through untold hoops to keep every part of Sky happy, but the final output is a very painful and very awkward birthing process AND several months to get back nearly not quite as good a service as you had before.....
Yes, you heard that right: not only a really 3rd rate experience when you get it working, but they've messed up the licensing so badly their higher paying subscribers (with 4 devices) will have to wait four months just to get to that inferior service... and even if they release a fixed app (without the win95 frames and clunky alt-tab to a webpage to xhange channel) they'll probably trash all 4 devices again!
If they honestly cared about their customers they would have automatically added 4 extra device changes credit to every account with 4 Windows devices... and them apologise for putting them through the hassle of deleting and re-adding accounts to get an inferior service.
Honestly Sky - could you try any harder to make people find other ways of getting this content?!?
Thanks for the tips. I have Sky Q but it's still Sky Go when I'm not at home. Movies are just plagued by adverts at the beginning but there were three sets of adverts in the show I was watching. Live chat is still busy so it's Netflix for me when I'm away.

Don't believe 7.1.1 is out for the S8/S8+ yet. It's not made it to mine anyway...
I had this issue but with windows whilst using chrome. I removed the Sky Go App, restarted the PC and signed into sky go using IE. Once I reinstalled the App it was working again.
Same issue on the One Plus 3 - Sky please assist in getting this resolved.
