Sky Go - Error Code: 9903 on MacBook Pro (New Sky Go App)

I am using the new Sky Go app on my macbook pro. I downloaded it on Wednesday and tried it and it worked fine. I tried it again this evening (thursday), and after watching football for about 5 seconds, I get the following error on screen:

 

"You appear to be running software capable of capturing video. If you want to watch this show, please ensure that all capture aoftware is disabled and try again. Code: PFE 9903."

 

I have closed all other programs on my mac, checked that I have no "video capture" software running, and re-booted. I then only ran Sky Go and nothing else but I still get the error......

 

There was a new download  this evening, so i assume that has had something to do with it.

Hi. From about two weeks ago I keep getting the following message 'remote playback is not supported ' on my sky sports app when trying to watch videos and live  TV. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi 

 

If you getting this on the Sky Sports app try using the Sky Go app instead if you are a Sky TV customer to see if that will work for you.

Thanks, but I get a different message on sky go... It says 'external output display is blocked' I have my location on.

Are you trying to output it to a TV or something?

What are you using the app on?

sky go with firefox

hi all,

i have windows 7 64 and am using firefox esr with silverlight installed , fireofx assure me that firefox esr should work with sky go but it keeps saying incompatible browser use other browsers , chrome will not work with windows 7 as they say it no longer supported and ie11 is unstable,. what browser can i use, i prefer firefox as this is one we have got used to.

Hi 

 

I presumed that the ESR version would still work but if it doesn't you should be able to get Sky Go working with Google Chrome when running it via the IE tab add-on as this works for me although I am on Windows 10 but I would have thought it should also work on Windows 7.

Sky q and sky go

I' thinking of changing to sky q for main room and living room but the only problem I have is kids use sky go to access sky channels through there Xbox and there is no app for sky q for Xbox...mainly changing for better quality and hoping brandband gets better signal

Hi 

 

You can continue using Sky Go on the Xbox's after you have Sky Q installed as Sky Q is a TV service and doesn't interfere with the Gaming consoles.

Unfortunately no matter what I do I cannot get Sky Go Extra. They say I will receive an email in 24 hours but it never arrives. Will have to contact them! Thanks for the help.

Hi  Have you tried downloading content from the sky go app to see if it has been enabled?

Well I never how long has Free Sky Go Extra been around for VIP's???

Why do we have to claim it instead of it being done automatically and how do you claim it???

This is the only thing from VIP rewards that is of any use to me and £5 in my pocket is better than in sky's lol

Sky Go, Sports and Cinema app's are all supported on your Samsung S8 phone. If you are trying to cast/mirror from your phone to another screen then that function is blocked on all of the mobile apps.
