So previously it only worked on internet explorer for reasons only known to yourselves. Now I can't get it to work on IE, the webpage just insists I download the app. Downloaded the app to my usual device, which I have had to register as a new device (why?), gone to actually use it and nothing plays.

 

I get error PFE 9500.

 

Are you able to help me watch Sky Go in any way from a PC? That is all I desire.

You and me both.  My subscription to Sky includes the ability to watch on different devices.  Thus far I am being consistently let down.

Sky are aware that some users are having problems and are working on those. However it does work for a very large part of the user base (Sky are able to compare stream usage on the various platforms over time..)

 

I'm able to use it on a wide range of PCs, from an Atom based W10 to tablet, various i5 & i7 laptops (of varying vintages, one is 7 years old) to an i7 Dell desktop with dual monitors.

Whilst I'm happy for you it doesn't help LOL.  It simply doesn't work for me. Why? Who knows.

Hi I'm so annoyed lol I've managed to install the desktop app on both my PC's which are both windows 10. one is working fine no problems at all. The other PC  will only deliver the sound no picture?! I've checked firewall etc... updated codecs etc... still nothing! not sure what to try next.

  In the same way that posting a new thread about the same issue by different posters without looking to see if the issue has already been raised you mean?

Whilst I take your point should each new post about the very same subject be ignored without reply because the subject has been raised before?

That must be even more frustrating to have it working on one but not another without obvious reason.  Very odd.

Hi

 

Call it luck or leap of faith, I have finally managed to get the app to work.

 

This is what I did.

 

Download the new app from sky when prompted.

 

Then install it.

 

Shut down the computer and re-start it.

 

Once that is done then open the Firefox browser, sign into sky go to sky go and click on what you want to see.

 

It will then ask you if you want to use sky go app click on it and yes remember and then it works.

 

The programme fully works now.

Sounds like you're using either the Sky Sports or Sky Cinema player apps if you're using the website to get it to open.

No. I get something similar instructing me to download the new player.  I tick a box to state it's already installed and to continue.  All goes blank then the same message appears again.
