Hey guys,

The automatic update on the Ps4, has now locked me out of the sky app, it won't take the sign in details, and as usual no help from sky, well done!!
Ever since a couple of weeks ago, SKY GO has been asking me to enter a pin for literally any film over a U rating. I've logged in to my SKY account and changed Parental Controls to OFF, but it still persists on asking for me a code, each and everytime I pick a new channel.
Does anyone else have this issue?.
I did manage to talk to someone at SKY over an online chat and was told:
"This is a legal requirement when trying to view outside the watershed times to stop children accidentally logging into something that is not to be viewed through out the day, in order for sky to broadcast certain material prior to the watershed a pin would need to be entered this is a legal requirement."
I understand what they are saying, but I don't have any children and have set Parental Controls to OFF. So why force me to enter codes over and over again?.
I'm hoping the rep I spoke to was incorrect and this isn't what it will be like from here on out.
Are you using a VPN at all?.

I hate to speak too soon but, without changing any settings, sky go is reasonably reliable since last update. It takes a minute or two to settle down but is now useable. My processor only runs at 1.3ghz
I found the same annoyance and apparently it's a recent OFCOM change. Even after the watershed it'll still ask for a PIN, probably because they think people will just change the time on their devices to get around it.
Thankfully watching them via on demand hasn't changed and it's only the live viewing that requires it.

Just tried it, it works fine on Win 10 with Bluestacks 4 on HDMI to the TV.
Excellent, thanks for the confirmation.
Thanks for confirming it your end also. Seems we can't even be trusted with our own settings and all have to be whitewashed with the same brush.
Yeah it is kind of silly trying to protect kids when they can just watch the on demand instead. It’s a pointless change when it can easily be gotten around 😳
Hi!
Anyone out there no why my new iPhone XS Max won’t let me view sky go in landscape (full screen)? Netflix, amazon prime, BT are all fine and can be viewed in full screen but not sky go?
I’m having the same issue, tried rebooting WiFi, I’m not using a vpn. BBC iplayer is working fine so seems to be an issue specific to Sky GO
Has there been any further update with this issue? Particularly on the PS4

has anyone else spoken to sky
Just followed the steps and I'm still getting the same error as OP. I've always had this error on my Mac, nothing else has an issue with running.
I did raise a support ticket, and the reply was that there is no fix.
I got this out of the blue today as well. Nothing actually resolves the problem. I'm not on a VPN. There's not issues with my WiFI. My laptop hasn't been moved since I used SkyGO without issue a couple of days ago. I've deleted and reinstalled the apps. Reset my router. Restarted the computer and nothing. The only way to trigger any video was to put it on my phone hotspot - not really a long term solution.
If anyone has a proper fix.... *fingers crossed*
Hi i've just set up first time Sky Go on my amazon fire kindle (kids) - but when I log and choose something to watch as a test it says 'I need to be a sky customer with the right subscription to watch this' - but I have the right one as I watch GOT on the sky tv! It just won't work on the sky app. thank you x
I am having the exact same problem. Hope somebody has the advice needed soon..
I have the same issue
If you are watching that is part of Sky Boxsets then you need a boxset subscrition before you will be able to access it. The earlier seasons of Game of Thrones are on Sky Boxsets.
I am on a ship off the coast of Italy
I’ve tried without success to watch a sky programme
Do I actually have to on land to be able to watch a programme

Possibily, you haven't said what issues you are having ?
