Sky Q ipad app error (your device is being registered)

I updrage from regular Sky to Sky Q today and downloaded the Sky Q app to my tablet and I am able to watch box sets or catch up on there fine but I cannot watch any Live TV channel at all. I get the message "your device is being registered. You may need to wait a few minutes before trying again"

I have checked on the manage devices page on settings and it shows my ipad was registered with todays date. I have also downloaded the Sky go app on my laptop and tried to watch Live tv on my laptop and it worked perfectly.

Anyone have any ideas as to why it will not work on my ipad?

Tried this. Hasn't helped sky go but has helped alot with my ps4 game play. Thank you

Well at least it fixed something Smiley Happy

What exactly happens when trying to view live TV? Does it just show a spinning loading icon or do you get an error message?

Also, have you tried rebooting your internet?

If you don’t have whatever they now call multiscreen then you can’t watch it on your iPad with Sky Q (app)

Sky Go Extra isn't an app it is a subscription like Sky Sports, Sky Movies etc and you need this or you will not be able to use Sky Go on your console. If you are not sure you change check for yourself via your online account here under "Your Package":

Hi I've just signed up for sky, and paid the set up fee. It said download the sky go app if you want to start watching sky before the installation next month. When I try to watch something it tells me I need a subscription. Does this mean I can't watch sky until the installation date? If so, then why does it say download the app if you want to watch now?

Is there any way to cast sky go to the tv. I find it hard to believe that £60+ a month and they still dont allow you to cast from phone/tablet. Thanks

Caesarome - Many thanks for your suggestion. I have tried this. BT Sport app works ok. Some Channels ok some Channels giving different errors. I'm confused. Is anyone aware if anything has changed with the SkyGo app?
