Can we please keep this thread to a specific version of Sky Go?


Sky Go Verification Code Not Matching. EVER.

I'm using the Sky Go app on a Ps4 with a newly created sky account. Can log on fine on phone but when it comes to the verification step on ps4 sign in it NEVER accepts the code as matching the captcha code! I've tried uninstall/reinstall turn off and on again. Nothings working. Anyone experienced this before?

Tryt he following. Put your settings back to normal and configure your AV to ignore the SKy Go directories so it will no longer scan Sky Go. That will give you a lower CPU usage and may help get Sky Go to work with your normal settings.

This seems to be LG specific - not seen any other reports of Sky Go problems on Pie. Personally, I've been using it on both a Samsung s8+ and OndPlus 6T (both running Pie) without any issues at all.

If you run into difficulties with the Sky Go app when watching live sport then try using the Sky Sports app instead.

Sky + app not recognising sky HD devices

My sky+ app is not finding my sky boxes. I’m getting a message that says ‘can’t find compatible sky+HD Box’ on this network’. I have 2 sky hd boxes it won’t find either.

Abroad trying to download programme from sky go. Error code 14a is preventing the down load. What does this mean? Thank yoi

On both my iPhone and iPad I receive the same error. There is a technical issue, or there’s a problem with the Skygo app. I’ve literally tried everything and haven’t been able to get it to play anything for weeks. Anyone know what I neeed to do? Thanks

Hi same issue as above. Used my skygo on 16/8/19 fine. Tried today 25/8 and when I select the programme I want it tells me something went wrong my device is being registered. I waited and tried again... same issue. Checked and my device is already registered. Please help I’m missing the ashes!

Nearly a week on and my iPad 6th iOS 12.4 still does not work with new skygo app, same message every time....

Are you connected to your Wifi on both devices when you see this error ?

Hi thanks for the response. Yes I am. But I tried disconnecting and the error still persisted just using normal mobile data.

Try a reboot of both boxes at the mains as I have had to do this a few times over the years and afterwards once the box has finish loading back up the app has found it so hopefully it will be the same for you.

I suppose you have deleted the app from both devices and then install it again after a reboot of them both ?

Yep uninstalled, rebooted, updated iPad/iPhone

It doesn’t actually log them out, I did that and changed my password

yet the next day the person has logged back on?

Before getting rid of the phone did you not logout of the Sky Go app on it ?
