I've followed the instructions and downloaded all I wanted to watch prior to travel. Error message tells me can't download if outside EU but will be okay if I download prior to trip and take with me anywhere. Still not working and can't watch series 2 of best crime drama since Soprano's. Gomorrah. More annoyed with tech' letting me down than anything else. Costa Rica will do better job of entertaining me than SKY.
Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
Re: Sky go
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Go-Apps/Subtitles/td-p/3050100 this thread should help you
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
I think this happens because your device needs to be connected to a wifi connection when you load up the Sky Go app and when you do it then knows you are not in the EU hence the error message.

i tried it with my own device too, I removed using the link you sent and went onto my app it let me straight on without logging back in or anything
Contact the person you sold the phone to so you can get it sorted. This may never be sorted if you don't.
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
The apps don't need a wifi connection when opening them. They should open and default to the downloads section of the app if no connection is there.
SkyGo access
I can use Sky go on my iPhone whilst on our WiFi. When trying without Sky WiFi I get a message saying I must upgrade to use / yet have the full package
Any ideas!! It’s like this across all 3 of our mobiles ( all iPhones)
Re: SkyGo access
What are you trying to view when you see the upgrade message because if it is boxset you need to be subscribing to the boxset package.
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
They might not need a wifi connection but from reading other posts and a reply from someone who asked Sky sbout this, the app does appear to want a internet conection when it is being opened.
Re: Sky go Windows 10 not working
now a black screen again lol
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
It shouldn’t. Just open it without a connection and you’ll see yourself.
Re: SkyGo access
Even trying to watch BBC One from the guide, I can access in my Sky WiFi but not on 4g

You can’t accessany BBC channels except on your home WiFi network if trying by any other means 3G 4G etc you have to use the iPlayer
Re: SkyGo access
It isn't possible to view BBC content via the Sky Go app as the BBC will not allow it so what happens if you try Sky One instead of 4G and who is your mobile network provider ?
Re: SkyGo access
If you can watch the BBC it’s because you’re connected to a Q box. You can’t view them otherwise.
Re: SkyGo access
Same thing in Sky One - can watch in sky go when on Sky WiFi- switch to 4G (EE) and told have to upgrade. I have loads of data so it isn’t that
Re: SkyGo access
How many devices are you trying to use at the same time on a mobile network?
Re: SkyGo access
We have it installed on 3 devices , but are testing access only 1 at a time
we have 1 Qbox plus 2 mini Qboxes
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
I have tired it on my Andriod phone and get a "There was a problem starting the app. Please check your network connection and try again. (Error Code 20190001)" message. On the iPad it does go to the downloads section.
Re: Can't view downloads in Costa Rica
Well at least it works properly on your iPad. I've never owned an Android device so have no idea what's wrong there.
SKYGO error PFE 9001 and Cisco Videoguard on Mac Mojave
Sky can you advise whether there has been any progress on this issue?
I've spent a while looking at this and as far as I can see the SkyGo installer does NOT actually install VideoGuard? My assumption is that this is required since all the previous posts on cleanup specific how to REMOVE VideoGuard....
I found an installer for the Cisco VideoGuard 9.1 and managed to install it successfully, but SkyGo still gives the same 9001 error - thinking this might be a version mismatch....
Would be nice if someone from Sky could actually respond here ?
