Its the background DRM protection that makes Sky Go resource heavy, recent versions of the app have drastically improved performance and in my experience basically halving CPU usage during streaming. Other offerings from BT & Netflix use web based streams which are not as resource heavy but also are much less protected than Sky's own app with cisco video guard, this is why Sky choose to use their own app on the Windows & Mac platforms.
To be fair to Sky the CPU in your tablet is very underpowered and I certainly would not run modern Windows apps on it myself.

What else are you going to do with a whole 4.5 watts? Quite extraordinary: a 14nm fabrication with onboard HD 615 IGP eating barely enough power to make an LED glow. I remember when you could use a Pentium 4 to make toast...

It seems to me I only have the crashing problem if I try to view Skygo on a second monitor. On the Probook screen it seems to work, I reconnected the monitor and it crashed. When I disconnect the monitor it works again.

error code pfe 9050 coming up when trying to watch sky go on my pc. i have re-installed sky go on my pc and rebooted several times but till same message appers, i am at my wits end , help anyone.

Came back to Sky on WinBack, I was told that I can use SkyGo on my Mac Book Air, everytime I install this app it shows error message 1310? I've spoke to 5 People at Sky of which noone can tell me why I can't watch this on my Mac Book?
On their webstie it say's click Apple macontosh download,
No really skygo..
Wondering now if it's best to bail as I like the way Netflix runs off a website enter your details and can watch anywhere in the world.....

If you have come back to Sky and have been a way for a year or more then you will have to set yourself up a new ID as you old one will not work, so if this is what you have done it would be whey you are seeing the 1310 error.

When did you join and have your Sky Q box installed, was it today ?
If not today and you are trying to watch something from the boxset section then you need to be subscriber to either the boxset or ultimate on demand package.
To download content to the app you need Sky Go Extra on your account.

Watch recorded sky q content on sky go
im a sky q multi room customer and just downloaded the sky go app. I can watch content through the app, i can download programmes to my phone or to the sky q box, but i can't seem to figure out how to watch something ive recorded on the sky q box on my phone.

Your phone has to be on the same Wifi network as your Sky Q box and when it is on the main screen at the bottom right should be a "My Recordings" option.
