Ipad Skygo - Strange access denied error
I am tyring to help a neighbour with a stage error on the Skygo app. He has been using SkyGo just fine up to now. Now he is presented with an access denied error when ever he tries to use it. It seems to indicate an issue server side, or a device authentication problem, but that is a little beyond my expertise
The app will open just fine, but when ever a link or video is used, Including the log-in link, this error pops up.
I have tried:
The standard power cycling of the Ipad, and the router
Ipad has no outstanding updates
deleting the app and reinstalling from the app store
Tested the app on his Iphone (On the same Wifi), works just fine
Check his account and all seems to be up to date, and the subscription is ok
does anyone have any thoughts?

Additional info - If the attached photo is unreadable, the error reads:
Access Denied

there is long number at the end of the "Reference" but it seems to be an account refrence number so i have removed it

I did swap my accounts and am now on SkY.
Did anything need to be done to transfer to My Account

Re: Sky Go app continually drops connection to Sky Q box
I have exactly the same issue. Using the Sky Go App (and previously the SkyQ app also had the same problem), it will connect to the Sky Q box initially, and my content will be visible, but after a period of time, which does vary, it will drop the connection, throw an error, and then refuse to reconnect until the app is killed on the iPad. Sometimes it takes several attempts to get it to reconnect.
It's not an issue with wifi strength as other apps will happily stream when SkyQ won't, and this only happens when trying to watch material downloaded to the SkyQ box. It's not an issue with the iPad, as i've tried on a number of different devices over the time that this issue has occurred, which has been pretty much since the feature launched. Over the time that this has happened, i have changed all of my wifi setup, so new router, and also extended to mesh wifi. I'm not using VPN nor content blockers on device.
I also have a suspicion that it's connected to the stability of the SkyQ box's connection to the network, rather than being at the client end. It would be useful to see if a wired ethernet connection to the SkyQ box would be better, but obviously there is no ethernet port on the box.
Given how much we pay for SkyQ it would be great if someone from Sky would properly investigate this issue and try to resolve, as it's been outstanding for so long, and seems to be affecting a lot of people.

Uninstall the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:
Sky
Sky Go
And if it is present the Cisco folder is App\Data\LocalLow. Empty your recycle bin.
Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

I have just hit this issue. Have been using Sky Go for several years and never had an issue. Just been asked to put in PIN and it rejected it. Clicked on link in Sky Go app to reset PIN and it still didn't work, used link in thread above and it still doesn't work, I have closed down Sky Go after each change and restarted it to test it. No joy.
Sky Go on IPad running iOS 13.7.

Sky Go Extra
I just got Sky Q this week, I had access to Sky Go Extra over the last few days whilst I was waiting for Sky too come out and fit my box etc.
Now that I'm trying too watch Sky Go on my Xbox upstairs and now it saying that I need to upgrade to Sky Go Extra but I was under the impression that I got it free because I have a Sky Q box.

You get it free with things like a Multiscreen subscription or Sky mobile subscription. It's possible it was given as a freebie before installation, along with access to all content, but now it's all installed it with be limited to what you signed up for.

Hello, I recently purchased sky and received an email saying i would be able to watch on my mobile app while waiting for the install. I have tried to watch and I keep getting the message saying it's unavailable due to a technical error.

I checked my Sky VIP account and noticed that I was eligible for a new remote. I completed a request for this but have not yet received it. Please advise when I can expect t this to be delivered as I have been waiting for some time now.
